    dyson 2 drums

Welcome Hi dyson2drums, Welcome to Automaticwasher.org. I have two wonderful Dyson washers, a CR01 Memory and a CR02 2-Drums Allergy. They definitely outwash ordinary single drum front loaders and the cycle times are very fast without compromising on wash performance or load size. I agree with...

Ariel Bio Liquid best on test Which? January 2008

Persil Powder Hi Zanussi_lover, Ariel Bio Powder most definitely outperforms Persil in my experience. Ariel has consistently been the best performing detergent for me over the years and I have been using it for some 20 plus years now. My Grandmother has Alzheimers Disease which has caused her...

Ariel Bio Liquid best on test Which? January 2008

Ariel Bio Liquid Hi Darren, Yes Ariel Bio Liquid is an excellent detergent. I find P&G liquids rinse out better than any other detergents I have used to date, if only their powders rinsed as easily! Hi Zanussi_lover, I will compile and post the powder results when I get a chance. David

    Tricking a current hotpoint!

Very Interesting Hi Darren, That's very interesting I never realised the second fill was timed on the Hotpoint Ultima, I guess it must be timed on the Aqualtis too. I had a WF860P for a few years and I never made the timed fill connection. The low & slow part of the cycle is load saturation...

New vids, Zanussi S218T and Aqualtis

Wonderful Hi Rob, Thank you for the wonderful videos. Your Zanussi S218T is amazing and sounds just like a Bendix 7147. The Bendix 7147 had a very similar 3 speed Induction Motor 180RPM wash, 1440RPM slow spin and 2800RPM fast spin. Never part with that Zanussi its a true classic! David

Ariel Bio Liquid best on test Which? January 2008

Hi Mark, I will compile the results in Excel later and post as a JPEG. Hi Spoodles, No this test was just Bio and Non Bio liquids no colour varients were included in the test. Yes indeed Ariel came first in the Which? powder test earlier this year. Hi Zanussi-lover, Daz liquid scored 49%, it...

What do you buy YOURSELF for Christmas?

I bought myself a new Philips Philishave Arcitec RQ1095, expensive but well worth it. David http://www.consumer.philips.com/consumer/en/gb/consumer/cc/_productid_RQ1095_22_GB_CONSUMER/electric-shaver+RQ1095

Ariel Bio Liquid best on test Which? January 2008

Hi Folks, I received my January 2008 edition of Which? Magazine this afternoon. In this issue Which? tested 25 liquid laundry detergents biological and non biological. Ariel Bio Liquid was the best on test scoring 67%, Ariel Sensitive (Non Bio) is the best among the non bio detergents and...

Aqualtis Squeak - should I be worried?

Hotpoint-Ariston Aqualtis AQGD169S Hi Mrx, I'm glad your sorted now. I did not say anything to see if you commented on the 8Kg model being quieter. They are definitely quieter and feature improved sound insulation; now badged Ultra Silent as opposed to Super Silent for their 7.5Kg stablemates...

    Another Italian Aripoint :(

Hi Seamus, Darren posted some pictures a while back of these new Hotpoints, I noticed the Indesit Company drum and guessed that they would be produced in Italy. I sincerely hope that Indesit Company are not moving all production to Italy but I would not be at all surprised if they did. Hi Neil...

    BENDIX

Bendix Hi Paul, Perhaps I can help a little. The 7147 and 7147A are identical cosmetically however they are quite different internally. On the 7147A the tub is different as is the rear tub panel; on the 7147 the Motor was mounted on brackets attached to the underside of the tub, on the 7147A...

    Ebay won, Zanussi S218T circa 1981ish, 800rpm

Hi Rob, If my memory serves me correctly the prewash is available only one the whites heavy soil 95ºC but I could be mistaken as I'm getting on a bit lol. I remember the economy does indeed reduce the water level and I believe the Z218T has three water levels but you will be able to confirm this...

Aqualtis Squeak - should I be worried?

Discoloured Paintwork Hi Mike, Yes it was on the bottom right hand corner. You cant really see it in the photo but it was very clear to the naked eye and rather unsightly. It wouldn't have caused a problem if it had been on the door as I doubt it would have discoloured the plastic of the door...

    Ebay won, Zanussi S218T circa 1981ish, 800rpm

Pristine Zanussi Hi Rob, Congratulations on wining such a pristine Zanussi, it looks like brand new. They were extremely reliable, refined and quiet machines. As I understand the situation the Zanussi was listed on eBay? Well eBay is an auction so you have no need to feel guilty about winning...

Aqualtis Squeak - should I be worried?

Clothes Deflector Hi Mrx, The triangular part on the door seal is a clothes deflector. With the large loads in modern front loaders stuffed into drums with wider openings the clothes deflector is necessary to prevent items from dragging around the door seal at the start of the spin cycle. This...

    How i spent my day

Hi Ralf, I live in County Down in Northern Ireland. I totally agree, it's a crying shame the Twin Tubs are no longer made. You can get an all plastic model made in China but they are not the same and have no heater. I would say there is still a market for Twin Tubs albeit limited but there is...

Aqualtis Squeak - should I be worried?

Hi Mrx, I don't know what they were thinking either as the warranty information is already in the enclosed literature pack. Apparently there were 1000's of machines effected by the discoloration issue to a greater or lesser degree. David
