I see, theres pins and try slides on bottom 4 & the top ones are a little more than 3 inchs above. This try I made is 3" on sides and back but made it higher in front to help keep it cool and looks.

Might be right GoatF, if i put ice cream in there i put it next to the sides and turn up the thermo from 1 to 3 or 4 and its better, also cookies and cream stays better than plain ice cream? ;) Shouldn't have it anyway

Thanks, I'm sure someone has something like it. The only thing I did when i removed it from a rental cause they wouldn't defrost was to paint the plastic and replaced the overload clicker spring on compressor and then put some silicone glue on the door seal thats quite hard.

Combo52, Will most any older compressor work in our 22cf frig and must it also be a side by side, how about a top freezer with maybe 17/18cf, not sure what cf go with what? arent they all pretty much the same power, i was told 1/4hp? are there numbers to look for... TX, Bill

I've had this for 15 years and what ever was under the freezer was gone. I made a drawer just to keep the cold up and for defrosting to catch water and ice. I'm thinking there might have been a tighter fit plate under the coils to keep it colder in the freezer section? Any pics or thoughts...

My parents bought this 20CF S/S olive green frig new in '74. compressor was replaced once maybe in the 80's, needs one again as my moms still here and can't stand the new frig's. What I dont know is how to or if its possible to remove the trim plastic to repair the rust or will I have to get at...
