around what year was this inglis washer introduce?

The era would be around 1975-1977. If it has the plastic tub ring, would be close 1977-78. I think I still have a pamphlet from that time period. Woodwards in Vancouver, BC sold this model in the mid to late 70's.

    Gulf sign arrived

Interesting fun fact about the Gulf logo. You might noticed that the Edmonton Oilers Hockey team original logo was very similar to the Gulf logo. The original corporate sponsor for the Edmonton Oilers was Gulf...the current logo resembles the original

    2/28/18 POD Question

Interesting observation. One main difference between Canadian made Whirlpools/Kenmore/Inglis washers are the front base bottom. The indented base is larger on the Canadian washers than than the US models..this was common for all Canadian model to the late 70's. I don't recall Canadian Kenmore...

    Today's P.O.D. 10-21-10

I guess I was wrong about the dual action agitator...I don't recall seeing a dual action agitator on these then (probably came out later in the 70's to help with sales)....mind you I was more interested in the Roto-Swirl..... The plastic panels were cheap to make. The timer, water level and...

Late 60's Kelvinator and Canadian Viking Washers

Yes I remember those 1960's Viking Franklin washers made with non-indexing tubs. Great machines and I agree about the agitator design was not great for washing. They had huge capacity (much more than the GE 18 lbs). In the 1970's up to early 2000 - Viking washers and Dryers were made by GE...

    Inglis Liberator washer & dryer

Those older Inglis were gems...just before the Inglis blue agitator....the older Inglis and Kenmore belt/pulley dryers were cool...yes they were noisy!

    Inglis Liberator washer & dryer

Push to start / pull to stop Interesting question....my guess was about the mid to late 60's for the Inglis. Canadian Kenmore washers kept the push to start and pull stop timers...to about mid to late 70's..(maybe the change occur when the timers became the quick disconnect) I think Inglis...

    Inglis Liberator washer & dryer

Pictures and Graphics on Control Panels - Triva in Canada.. Here is a little triva about Inglis Canada (Whirlpool Canada)... Many washers and dryers (for that matter all major Inglis appliances) had dial skirts because it was easier to changed the dial skirt to French or to English (being that...
