@daveamkrayoguy Did you not recently buy a new washer? Did you get rid of the old one it replaced or didn't it work anymore? It just occurred to me you could use the old one for animal bedding etc thus saving your new machine !!

@launderess We have an upswing in sales of Aga's and all other heat store ranges they have become so uneconomical that UK Facebook marketplace is flooded with them every type apart from solid fuel as you can burn wood thats cheap to get. It's quite sad really ! The end of another era I guess.

@maytagneptune To me that says volumes about poor laundry habits and correct proper use. Your machine may have been abused but it was evidently used with hot water and correct detergent and allowed to dry between uses. Personally have never encountered any issues as always hot wash every week...

Have a similar issue All I do is bleach it with warm water let it sit for a while and rinse with clean water. `its the fine particles that none of the filters catch thats the problem.

Novum Those washing machines especially the twin tubs have a Rolls / Colston look about them. Never seen novum over here but have a Rolls among the collection in the shed.
