    New Whirlpool Dishwasher Questions

Suds I have checked a few times and there's never been any suds. I'm currently using Finish powder which is very low sudsing.

    New Whirlpool Dishwasher Questions

Brief, poor quality video Here is a brief video I took in the dark last night of it running during the main wash. Wear earbuds to hear the sounds I'm describing, especially evident near the end.

Speed Queen top-loader towels smell bad

Too much detergent This is a topic I completely disagree with John on. You can easily use too much detergent, I have experienced this first hand, especially when I had a top loader. Excess detergent will stick to laundry and in extreme cases, cause a sticky or waxy soap scum-type buildup in...

Speed Queen top-loader towels smell bad

My experience with foul smelling towels was a build up of detergent residue. Have you tried washing the towels on the heavy duty cycle on hot with no detergent? I wouldn't be surprised if you see suds on both the wash and rinse. Get your towels thoroughly rinsed and then switch to a high...

It happens during all portions of the cycle, but only seems to occur when the lower wash arm is running.

    New Whirlpool Dishwasher Questions

Thanks John! Yes, I'd very much appreciate if you'd provide me the part number. By the way, I'm running the one hour wash cycle now and it's not making that sound. It must use more water per fill. I don't typically use this cycle unless I'm doing a lot of cooking. I should probably use it more...

    New Whirlpool Dishwasher Questions

Thanks Henrik You bring up good points that perhaps it's not worth it. But I do find the noise it makes annoying. I guess it's not full on cavitating but you can tell it's pulling in some air as it's running, which changes the frequency or cadence of the sound the wash motor makes. I thought...

    New Whirlpool Dishwasher Questions

Thanks John. The model number was listed further up the thread; it's #WDT730PAHZ0. Obviously it's not new anymore, I've had it 3.5 years. It's made this sound for as long as I can remember. I was near it last night tidying up and on a whim decided to add more water. I'm just not sure what I...

    New Whirlpool Dishwasher Questions

Not filling with enough water The frequency of the wash pump was always changing, like it was cavitating. Today I decided to add a few cups of water and the sound stopped. It was finally washing with no strange frequency changes. Now, are WP dishwashers known to cavitate? Should I be...

    Miele G7166 Dishwasher Update

Very nice! Congratulations on your new dishwasher! It's a beautiful machine! I hope it provides you with many years of trouble-free service. I recently had a conversation with independent appliance repair guy with 30 years of experience and he proclaimed Miele makes the best dishwashers. He...

Miele W1 Towel Cycle Spin Speed

Update... I tried changing the imbalance sensor setting from "Tacho + EZU" to "Tacho" and that didn't make a difference. There is one other setting in there I will try.

Miele W1 Towel Cycle Spin Speed

Harrison, I think you're on to something. I suspected that as well. Anyone have any ideas? Anyone else have this issue or does their towel cycle spin at 1600?

Miele W1 Towel Cycle Spin Speed

Thanks Glenn I typically wash my towels on the normal cycle and there are no issues getting to 1600 rpm. I'd prefer to use the towels cycle because the wash period is much shorter but am forced to use the normal cycle so they get spun out at 1600.

Miele W1 Towel Cycle Spin Speed

Anyone else have issues with their W1 reaching max spin speed of 1600 rpm on the towels cycle? I can't remember the last time mine actually did a 1600 spin on this cycle. I have no issues with any other cycles reaching the max speed.

    Anyone use RLR?

Thanks Stan! How much borax should I use for a soak? I just bought a box a few days ago.

    Anyone use RLR?

I agree I don't like purchasing products that are so secretive. I reached out to the company asking for the ingredients and they only provided an SDS which lists sodium carbonate as the main ingredient. They did not provide the ingredients. Tom, I have that Shout foam. The napkins did not smell...

    Anyone use RLR?

Thanks Laundreress! Have you ever used it? Do you have any tips for use? I purchased it to strip my napkins and tried it twice, once with detergent and once without. My napkins had an off-odor, hence wanting to strip and when I tried RLR with detergent (as directed on the package) the napkins...

Has anyone used this before? How do you use it?

    Cheating Miele twindos

I agree with Jerrod about your dosage. You could probably dial it down even more to 20-30 ml. I personally use Tide Ultra Stain Release Free and Ecover non-chlorine bleach in my TwinDos containers. I have somewhat hard water and fairly oily skin so have my phase 1 set to 30 ml and phase 2 set to...
