I already said this in the YT comments, but
I think this could be better titled 'The Power of Advertising'.
The old design had more to do with water movement than the new one, the old design forced the water through the clothes acting as a sort of a pump with the agitator, a principle...
It is a home improvement article inter-spread with unrelated pictures of Dexter commercial FL washers. One of the pictures was taken by me, too.
It is titled "30 Stereotypes About Dexter Washing Machine That Aren’t Always True"
Weird, isn't it?

No, the D shape didn't. By any chance is this being made for Tom(Losangeles)? He mentioned getting something a few FD parts made when he picked up that '63 Multi-Matic from a friend of mine.
Speed Queen
I love these early models, personally the 1957-1958 style like Paul has is my favorite and the reason I chose my username, not the modern models. If only I could find one for myself, It is my one real dream machine.
BUMP!
It is still for sale, I need it gone to make room for potentially more interesting things.
Price cut ~ $50, make me an offer. If it doesn't go, I will curb it soon.
Oh, you're back again...
While you have been dawdling for another year, Bud learned all the process himself, bought the equipment, and made his own parts; and If I needed anything made, at this rate I'd sooner send my stuff to him, as we have seen his work...
An idea
If you cannot find someone to re-wind it, you could bend two of those tabs down and just mount a conventional motor with rubber grommets on either side of the tab when you tighten it down to dampen vibration.
There are a few people around here that might have parts so hold out a week...
Regarding Easy's lifetime warranty which included the transmission, was this too good to be true(were there legal words to weasel out)? What took these machines out of service?
Does the pump turn freely? If something jams the pump there can be trouble.
By the way, it isn't outfitted as a RimFlo, it has the clothes guard not a rim filter, it will need a pan.
I don't see any reason to not use it if you can live with your electric bill. Just about any older fridge will be more reliable than the modern ones. I have heard some say that GM rotary compressors are of very good quality.
I disagree about crash safety. The Town Car was one of the safest cars tested when it was last tested by the IIHS. I think cheapness was the main factor.

Mine is a 1965, the first time I used it, having previously had a late 2000s model I pulled out the screen while running and got a face full of lint dust. Although I think it actually produces less lint overall, I think it has to do with lacking the true vanes on the drum and...
You received this letter?
Does that mean you are a Speed Queen Dealer?
There was a man on this forum who immediately after purchasing liked it and after using it for a couple months has now changed his mind,[this post was last edited: 5/11/2018-22:29]
The duo of RCAs
It comes to me as a tie between my 1965 RCA Victor CTC-17XE color television and my 1965 RCA Whirlpool electric dryer. Both see everyday use and typically work flawlessly. They also have a beauty nothing modern can match.
