A little update... I took the agitator out of the basket and inspected it. I didn't find any sharp spots on it or the tub whatsoever. I also looked over the dryer drum once again and found nothing. I can only think of aggressive wash action but it has a wide agitation arc... I've never had this...

Its a Kenmore 110.20022013, I will look over the basket more carefully this time for any burrs.

This is too bad. When I went shopping for a socket set a few years back, Sears Craftsman sets had plenty of 6 point sockets, so I got them. I've never had luck with the 12 point sockets, and the Kobalt sets are full of those. I've always preferred Craftsman hand tools.
