    VMW shredding laundry?

Nope, this is one of the early models. No agitation during fill - it has true water levels.

    VMW shredding laundry?

A little update... I took the agitator out of the basket and inspected it. I didn't find any sharp spots on it or the tub whatsoever. I also looked over the dryer drum once again and found nothing. I can only think of aggressive wash action but it has a wide agitation arc... I've never had this...

    VMW shredding laundry?

Its a Kenmore 110.20022013, I will look over the basket more carefully this time for any burrs.

    VMW shredding laundry?

There are none that I can find in the washer or dryer. The set is like new.

Clock is ticking faster for Sears/Kmart

This is too bad. When I went shopping for a socket set a few years back, Sears Craftsman sets had plenty of 6 point sockets, so I got them. I've never had luck with the 12 point sockets, and the Kobalt sets are full of those. I've always preferred Craftsman hand tools.

    VMW shredding laundry?

...Okay, maybe not shredding laundry. But I have noticed that my washer is very rough on towels and creates a ton of lint. Many of my cleaning cloths come out with tears or frayed edges after a while as well. The kicker for me was after washing a nice set of sheets. I pulled them out of the...

    Persil Pearls (US) Discontinued

Where are you finding Tide on special offer? The best I've ever seen on Tide is one dollar off.

    GE GTW330ASKWW

I don't think you can go wrong for $399. That's about as inexpensive as it gets short of the $299 Amana/Admiral or whatever it is being badged now. As said before, you could pretty much get two GE sets for the price of one Speed Queen. Sure the Speed Queen might last longer but after reading...

    Persil Pearls (US) Discontinued

I've never been a fan of Persil. It cleans OK but I don't like the scent at all. If only we had a detergent exchange here, it would save that bottle from just sitting in my laundry room!

    2018 Regulations

While I do agree with you about freedom of choice, it's quite silly to shred the EPA. Saving energy has good reasons...

LG WM2650HWA - Detergent pacs clogging pump filter?

Do you use fabric softener? It also contributes to build up.

    2018 Regulations

Maybe if restrictions ease up, more people will decide to take the efficient route if they feel it is their choice.

Found a really cool childhood memory an now I want this washer

What was Whirlpool's reasoning for switching to the direct drive platform? A simpler design?

New Kenmore 4.7 cu ft triple action agitator washer with steam

Shame... ...that WP corp. is stooping that low to trick consumers into thinking that their new washer has true steam cleaning. This one isn't a simple gimmick. If they wanted to, steam could be pumped through the bottom of the tub before the washer filled. It would rise through the...

New Kenmore 4.7 cu ft triple action agitator washer with steam

Joeypete, would you mind taking a short video washing a normal load on the auto sensing water level? I'm curious so see how turnover is with everyday garments. It seems to do alright with towels in the video you posted a while back.

New Kenmore 4.7 cu ft triple action agitator washer with steam

I got all excited about this, and then realized that this seems to be another agipeller model. I was thinking that this was a true agitator washer like what was last seen as the agitated Cabrio models, but the parts list only shows one "agitator". If anyone at Whirlpool is listening, I'd...

New BOL(Bottom Of the Line) Kenmore dual action agitator washer

The fill agitation is similar to what was present on certain direct drive models, right? The only issue I see with this is that the agitation profile seems harsh for a partially wet load of clothes. I bet it'll take a toll over time... but don't these machines use variable speed motors? I would...

    Lawn Mower Collectors?

I don't either. But I second the Lawn Boys.

Ugh! My washer ate my wife's sweater.

I've noticed that some of these newer VMW machines pulse every so often while they fill. That's how their automatic water level works. Is there any chance yours does this on the delicate cycle? It's an okay system. I personally think the sensing is way too frequent which wears out clothes...

    I was at Lowe's today-disappointing washers!

It seems like every few posts is a repeat of this one with somebody or another complaining about modern quality, or lack thereof. I'd like to remind those complainers of the thread on here just a little while ago about the Speed Queen front loader that keeps causing problems, with SQ refusing to...
