That is what we call a shaver plug over here in the UK! They are also known as Europlugs and you may be able to find an adaptor over there for one! They run on 230V. There is this adapter I found on Amazon, but it may not supply the right voltage. Another bet is places like Radio Shack...

One thing that annoys me about my Zanussis is that the 7kg writing is written as "7Kg" on the dryer and "7kg" on the washer! Also, the spacing isn't the same so I get really annoyed!

Not really though, she was constanlty spending money on it as she couldn't afford to buy a new washer at the time.

The dryer was rubbish in it as well! It took 3 hours to dry a load and it had a lot of static. She replaced it with an Indepoint last year which is actually slightly better quality.

Some of the old Hotpoints were useless! My nana's 95 series washer dryer had to have 3 new bearing and spider sets and it needed lots of new dispenser drawers (they always cracked). Good luck with your Hotpoint Chris!

Wow, almost the same set as me, just that I have the condenser dryer! The quick washes are excellent and give the same results as the full wash for me!
