Again, they died after messing with them.  These were made to operate on natural gas, Propane or Kerosene with the correct parts.   I have had these.  I have never operated one.  I have friends that have used them and not died.  They were designed and sold when many didn't have reliable...

They were recalled because people neglected to maintain them and they then produced carbon monoxide.  If the flue and burner are kept clean, they work fine.
