Add Water Level Selector to My FL!

I modifed my FL by adding a water level selector to my FL. The orginal water level is 3.25" from the bottom of the inner tub, which is about 4.5 gal of water. The new high water level is 4.5" which is about 6 gal. The soak-up by laundry could take an extra of 1 gal. The high water level will...

    A Bit Too Sensitive ????

It seems that Samsung FL uses 2 springs and 2 dampers to support the drum unit. If so, it will be very sensitive to leveling and unbalanced laundry.

    moisture sensors

The cons of the moisture sensor are: 1) Dryer sheet could make it malfunction. 2) Small laundry will give a false "dry" signal. 3) Some polyester laundry will also give a false signal. I am still quite happy about my Kenmore (WP) dryer with Auto-Dry Cycle and still using "dryer sheet" in it...

"the GEs were made in Canada" The new GE FL are made in China and don't think that they are any better than Korean Maytag.

    Anyone USE a new Oasis?

"Those Bosch machines are good-looking, aren't they? The only complaint I've ever heard about them is they're pretty fussy about suds. A little too much and they shut down." Seems that this is applicable only to the Premium 6400 (but not Basic 3200) because 6400 uses much less water and has "sud...

    Condenser Dryer

"I may just get a large regular US electric dryer and modify to use 110v.(regular house current, here)" The large electric dryer requires 240V 30A supply and has a heater about 5000 watt. Maximum power from 120V 15A supply is 1800 watt and the common practise is to limit it to 1500 watt. It...

FL on Slabs/Carpets is the best!

Won't die for jump down 1.5 The surface of the concrete slag is quite rough and provide more friction than any other surface with the footings. Don't worry you won't die for jump down 1.5". If some one is still worry, a frame with 2X4 wood could be built around the slabs.

FL on Slabs/Carpets is the best!

Both my kitchen and washer room have the same vinyl floor which is above basement. There is no wall-wall carpet in my house, except the stair between main floor and basement. I do have individual carpets in sitting rooms. The floors are hardwood floor and vinyl floor on main floor: and hardwood...
