    Tabletop Clothes Dryer, Anyone?

I saw this on facebook yesterday On that link it didn't have a price listing. Holy crud, $549 retail? It looks like a nice alternative for people that need a dryer in a small space. Too expensive to be toy for me now though.

What school food was your favorite, if any?

Dinner rolls Everything was made on site, and there wasn't much that was really nasty. There were fresh made dinner rolls that were to die for. Light, fluffy, buttered tops. . . Now-a-days all the school lunch food is made at a central kitchen and pretty much is stuff that was rejected from...

Does Anyone Still Use A Fax Machine?

We use fax daily at work It is more difficult to protect PHI (Protected Health Information) with emails that can be intercepted on the web. With a fax, you have a reasonable expectation that it is reaching the destination with a correct fax number.

New entry into the Dishwasher market

Just my 2 cents regarding filters The old style Hobart Kitchenaid machines had a self-cleaning filter. You rarely, if ever had to do more than a quick rinse every few months.

    2002 Ford Ranger 2.3l

The company I used to work for ran a fleet of Rangers The trouble that came up the most with them was the rear engine oil seal. Other than that, they drove the poo out of them. Not the most comfortable long haul rider, but was economical for the needs of the district managers.

    KitchenAid stand mixer leaking oil

You should run the mixer for at least a few minutes each week to keep the grease churned up, and the seals lubricated.   If you don't want to, or feel like a DIY, you can send it back to Kitchenaid, and they will totally recondition the unit very reasonably.

    Water Wall Dishwasher

Since I don't follow Samsung, I did not realize they owned Dacor.  I had thought this design was dead, apparently not.

    Water Wall Dishwasher

Sometime ago we had a discussion about Samsung's Water Wall dishwasher. I haven't heard much of it as of late, today I noticed that Dacor has a Water Wall. Does Samsung make these, or is it shared technology...

J.C. Penny to Stop Selling Home Appliances

I walked through their "appliance" depertment It was sorely lacking any choices, and was in JC Penny tradition, overpriced. I think it was a venture that they tried in their attempt to stay alive in the retail business, hoping to capture some of the traffic when Sear's exited many of the...

USPS and Their Bogus "Delivered" Status

I can understand two deliveries Depending on the size, and priority of the package. I have ordered items from Ebay, and Amazon where they will ship by Fed-X, UPS, or USPS, but then depending on the priority or size will change shippers for actual delivery. My tracking will state, transferred...

Party Line Telephone Service - Tell Me Why

My mother knew of an older lady that her main entertainment was listening in on the party line. She could then gossip about the neighbors with absolute first hand knowledge.

I was always told not to. As you will contaminate the machine with fiberglass for no telling how many loads.

    Sears bankruptcy looming

I have to say: They have no one to blame but themselves. First they put a real estate person in charge of the company. All he is interested in is the holdings. Second they fail to adapt. Sear's started the Mail order/catalog business. Don't put blame on Amazon for failing. The failure...

    PRESTO canner meets smoothtop range

Depends on the range. My first smooth top, from 1997, was a Maytag. They did not suggest a canner if it exceeded the size of the burner over one inch. When I purchased my current range, a GE, I specifically asked about a canner. This range has a large burner, and both the manual and the...
