    Dishwasher Pre Wash

4 min Prewash! I set it to normal and hi-temp and it did indeed have a 4 min prewash, 18 min main wash, 8 min rinse, and a 15 minute final rinse. That is absolutely enough to clean anything I can throw at it and no more stains!

    Dishwasher Pre Wash

Thanks! I appreciate it very much. I have been using the pots and pans cycle this entire time. I will try the Normal cycle with a heated wash. I thought for the life of me when I ran the heavy cycle it was a long prewash, but I wasn’t exactly timing it and left the kitchen a couple of times...

    Dishwasher Pre Wash

Yeah, that’s the problem I have with my power clean. The prewash cycle is more than 15 minutes long and stains my interior and plastics. It doesn’t matter if I fill the entire prewash cup with bleach based detergent or not. I wish there was a quick 3-4 minute prewash like my old kitchen aid...

Speed Queen Front Load Rinse Cycle

Does the newer FF7 speed queen front load release the softener on the final rinse if you choose multiple rinses? Or does it release the softener on the first rinse cycle every time? Also, is there anything different other than than cosmetics from the FF7 and the previous version of the front...

    Dishwasher Pre Wash

I believe that a prewash is important. Particularly a quick unheated one. I’ve noticed that machines that start with a quick prewash do a great job of keeping Tupperware from getting stained with red sauces. The quick prewash does just enough to get most of the red sauce out of the...

    Bottom Rack Clips

Thanks John Yeah, on the door is a must for me. I have to use every inch of space I can get. And like you said, it’s nice to crack the door open to put utensils in. The only drawback for me is finding a spot for reusable straws since when on the door, water can’t spray from underneath.

    Bottom Rack Clips

Thanks. I always just hung it on the door. I guess it helps for extra support, then.

    Vitamix 5200

I’ve had one of these on my wish list for a long time. Then today I go on Facebook marketplace and this pops up for $20. It doesn’t have any of the extras the CIA version comes with, but I definitely wasn’t complaining. Luckily it had just been posted for 4 minutes. Everything works great...

    I did some silly...

I have the same machine with a stainless front and a black control panel. It’s absolutely amazing and the best machine I’ve ever owned. Like you I’m coming from a Bosch. Put in a one ounce tube of zapzyt in the prewash and run it on pots and pans. It should make your plastic tub like new...

    question on dishwasher detergent?

I use Cascade Platinum I use Cascade platinum tablets. I checked last night during the middle of the cycle. I only had a thin layer of suds. It could be that my dishwasher uses 2 gal per cycle and dilutes it more. But Cascade platinum tabs seems to be working great. I have a plastic tub...

Convection Microwave Ovens - Gimmick or Godsend?

Separates Do you have enough room to keep your inverter microwave that you have now and buy a convection toaster oven? Breville makes a convection toaster oven heated using quartz. I have a small 4 slice quartz toaster oven made by Panasonic that toasts bread fast enough that it is an actual...

    Speed Queen AWN432 cleaning quality

Agree with rinsing as well. I can fill tide powder detergent up to 4 1/2 and only need one rinse. If I select 2 rinses the water in the 2nd is always crystal clear and not needed. I was weary of only 2 min of rinse agitation, but obviously the engineers wanted to minimize harsh agitation as...

What to do with old dishwasher?

That’s a beautiful dishwasher that cleans very well. I love the chrome trim on those. It’s your house. Tell the contractor you want to keep it. If you don’t want it, you will have no problems rehoming it, if you list it. They don’t and never will make a machine like that again.

    Neighbors new Bosch DW

That’s Normal. My Bosch 500 series was louder than my 2015/16 Kitchenaid as well. Not as loud as my PowerClean though, haha.

Foraloysis, Vitrelle and glassware have a different molecular structure than plastics, which are certainly more porous. RP2813, Yes, it would work on Tupperware and other plastics.
