Removal of Tomato Stains from Plastic Tub Dishwasher

Hi John. Yeah. It happened when I was experimenting with different detergents to see how cheap I could go. I usually use cascade platinum tab as the prewash and cascade lime green gel (bleach detergent) in the main wash to sanitize. My prewash is so long that everything is clean after the...

Removal of Tomato Stains from Plastic Tub Dishwasher

After a week of no improvement I started looking for an additive to clean my dishwasher tub stains. I came across an older post that called for a product with Benzoyl Peroxide 10% as its active ingredient since they didn’t make Cascade Plastic Booster anymore. Since Cascade Plastic booster is...

    Power Clean?

Stains are Gone! Benzoyl peroxide 10%. I set the dishwasher to pots and pans and used 1 1/2 tablespoons in prewash with an empty load except for the cutting boards. No other detergent was used. Here are some before and afters.

    Power Clean?

Thanks Everyone Thanks everyone for the reply. It was definitely food, today I found some orange colored fine food particles trapped in the door crease of the bottom of the dishwasher where it meets the door. They were so fine you could tell they had been pulverized. I’m thinking I might...

    Power Clean?

Rust When I first got my PowerClean I washed off a little rust from the inside tub before I used it. For two weeks the tub remained spotless. Today out of nowhere I noticed some rust stains at the bottom of the door. I’m wondering if I might need to do some preventative maintenance on the...

    Power Clean?

Thanks John I didn’t do the peanut butter test, but I found if I remove just one of the small plates, I’m able to add my large cups on the bottom rack where the clear pie dish is in the photo would go. This leaves me with more room on the top rack anyway since the large cups were taking up 2 rows.

    Power Clean?

Thanks for the info about the check balls Murando. It makes sense now. Mark, yeah. You’ve got to love Corelle. They are so durable. The only ones that have been broken are the ones that have been thrown at me haha! This is the latest placement system that I have found that works best for...

    Power Clean?

Installed Love that KUDS-25! That’s an absolutely beautiful machine! So, today I was able to get the PowerClean installed. I checked the inlet valve filter, which was in surprisingly good shape being over 13 years old. I also took the machine apart a bit to see if I need to manually clean...

    Power Clean?

Yes, those ovens are absolute workhorses. The only thing I’ve ever had to do was replace the heating element and fix the timer. I didn’t even have to replace the timer to fix it. There was just a piece of metal that had slightly bent over the years and I just bent it back. I’ve had mine...

    Power Clean?

Thanks! Thanks guys. I will try the cascade tabs and a chlorinated gel. BTW, thats a beautiful dishwasher with the chrome trim and pinstripe control panel. It would go beautifully with my oven! Finding one of those would be a dream! What is the model number?

    Power Clean?

Thanks for all the info. Thanks for all the info everyone! I am purchasing it tomorrow. What is a good detergent for this machine? I was thinking the cascade in the lime green bottle that still uses bleach. I’ve used cascade powder in my manual filter machines in the past, but have noticed...

    Power Clean?

Thank you, John. If something does go wrong with it are they easy to fix or replace parts? Also, do you recommend I take it apart to sanitize it?

    Choosing an energy star washer

I’m not a fan of the suspension and the lack of options. It’s built well other than that. From reviews it cleans good. If you want to go old school and can’t go speed queen it’s the closest you can get to old school washing.

    Choosing an energy star washer

I’ve owned my speed queen for two years, so I can’t say much on reliability or customer service, because I haven’t had a problem. I can say it’s built like a tank. I do at least one full load a day and on days that I wash bedding, I do at least 5 loads of heavy queen and twin size comforters...

    Choosing an energy star washer

Both are very good washers. I have the 8 series and then bought a 9 series control board to essentially make it a 9 series. It cleans amazing! I would get the awn432sp113cw04. Same internals with manual controls. You will love it.

    Choosing an energy star washer

My experience with front load They are definitely gentler on clothes. They take longer to wash clothes, but with today’s enzyme based detergents that’s not such a bad thing. You can wash king sized comforters no problem in larger machines. With that being said, I would not buy one without...

    Whirlpool Designed Dishwasher Sanitize Option

Gotcha. Sounds like it adds at least one extra rinse to make sure that in the final rinse, the water is crystal clear.
