Close up I think this is from 1972 or something. If someone knows please let me know. Anyway I think I had the dryer at one point but it is long gone. Wish I had it to make a pair now. This originally was a low use washer that's why I kept it all this time. Thanks for looking and Merry...

    Harvest Gold to the rescue!

Hi all! Well the washer at the rental unit where my kids stay at had an issue so I put into service this GE washer that had been sitting in my back yard for probably about 7 years or so. I posted about it at the time. Anyway I am embarrassed as it had been under a tent neglected but it cleaned...

Tips on locked 1950s Hotpoint door latch that won't open.

Look underneath and see if there is a set-screw. You might have to drill this out and see what happens. I had to do this on my Ge. But I was able to put in new threads and put a slightly bigger set screw in after I fixed it. TAP

Super interesting 56 57? hotpoint washer WUNDER DIAL

Thanks Well I don't think it was new but a very low use machine. I've got the inner tub out and it just is rusty crusty around the shaft and bearing. I have cleaned it up but I had to take a lot of it apart. I hope I can get it together tomorrow. Hopefully with a little turning I can free...

Super interesting 56 57? hotpoint washer WUNDER DIAL

Hi all well I sure wanted to get this thing up and running but have run into a snag. I have a theory that this machine has never been used, because it is a lemon. Everything turns freely, the motor isn't freezed, but when it is trying to agitate and spin it sounds like a cement mixer and the...

    5 Vintage kitchen gadgets evaluated

I have a french fry cutter that is vintage but you push straight down and use both hands, it works petty good. I've got that juicer too, I don't use it very often but they definitely work. I will be on the lookout for those other gadgets thanks for posting this.

1953 GE refrigerator isn't freezing on top

It has changed from the last few years. Both compartments would be at the right temp but the coil in the top of the fridge would freeze up to the point where I occasionally had to defrost it. Now the coil in the top of the fridge is just sorta wet. I cycles on and off normally.

"FARMHOUSE VINTAGE RETRO MCM ANTIQUE REFRIGERATOR FREEZER GE - WORKING!" (combination)$450

I'm sorry but I think this would clean up in an afternoon with a little elbow grease and some polish. I have crisper drawers to this too if someone wants them, but the plastic part that holds them in place is going to be a challenge to find. It would be worth while to look around the barn to...
