    New AEG L76685 1600rpm Washer

I live in a very hard water area - South East of England. Thames Water. Never had a washing machine fail or heard of anyone I know having a machine fail due to the water hardness. I think its just happens that the machine is faulty on this machine.

    New AEG L76685 1600rpm Washer

Sorry to hear that. Sounds like you are just a bit unlucky there. Heaters going wrong are not really common faults from what I know of. My Hotpoint Smart 9KG machine went wrong after only 4 months due to my contant overloading it, I busted the pressure switch in it. I got it repaired under...

What temperatures do you use UK members?

I wash bedding at 60 degrees and everything else at 40 degrees. I don't separate coloured items. It all goes in one wash and comes out just fine. Keeps usage of the washing machine in my flat to just twice a week as I'm on a water meter.

    New AEG L76685 1600rpm Washer

Hi Warmsecindrinse, If you are referring to my video. The machine is not supposed to balance the load. It's doing a rinse cycle. The purpose of my video is to show how the machine performed it rinses with the spin bursts and jet stream on. It's not a spin cycle. The system for rinsing is...

    New AEG L76685 1600rpm Washer

Another video, but of the Hotpoint and the timer countdown timer and its inaccuracy - after the wash and first spin and starting the first rinse, at least your AEG doesn't do this and you know when it will finish. http://https//www.youtube.com/watch?v=5ZSa_cYH4F0

    New AEG L76685 1600rpm Washer

Hi, That machine looks great. I'm glad that its not fussy with spinning, I always remember the AEG my parents had was not fussy at all with the wash loads, causing the drum to 'bash' the glass door. 9 years later my parents got a terrible Zanussi Flexi Dose that was rubbish, the suspension was...

    Modern Hotpoint Query

Haxisfan, Thank you for confirming this. This makes sense that when the machine senses extra suds, it keeps adding water at various times to try and 'dilute' the suds. What I don't understand is that when the machine sudslocks, it does not seem to do anything about it, it simply tries to...

    Modern Hotpoint Query

Robliverpool, you had a more up to date model and it still did that. What a silly oversight by the manufacturer. I'm happy with mine apart from this strange timer feature and sometimes the balance sensitivity, adding more time to the cycle. When it goes wrong, I may go for a Beko with...

    Modern Hotpoint Query

Hi All, As some of you may know, I purchased a Hotpoint 9kg washing machine from Currys in Feb 2015. Its their exclusive Smart model. I have a query relating to this machine. I have noticed on some makes of machine, when the user over doses on detergent and the machine has lots of suds...

Out with hotpoint s line and back with beko

I remember when I used a Beko in the flatshare and I loved how it used to get on with the spins. No fussing, that's one thing I dislike about my Hotpoint, it's fussy.

Out with hotpoint s line and back with beko

I like how Beko does 3 rinses. I don't get why more manufacturers don't keep to the 3 rinses. I really disliked this on my Hotpoint when I got it but I got used to it now. Well done on getting a good machine.

Out with hotpoint s line and back with beko

Very nice Beko machine. I think Beko are excellent value for money. My Hotpoint Smart 9kg does annoy me with it's very sensitive spins. Adamthemieleman, I always wondered about Hoover being made in China after I saw an inlet pipe with a Chinese manufacturers address printed on it when I...

New Bosch washer problem ( perhaps ) help appreciated :(

It's not a fault it's to do with the Eco stuff. My Hotpoint does that. If I fully load it and the machine detects a full 9kg load then the machine will reach the 40 degree temp and maintain it by switching the heater on and off and the wash is a full 2 hour 55 minutes. If I load less and the...

Hotpoint completely owned by whirlpool now

Indesit tumble driers My parents have a 12 year old Indesit tumble drier that is categorised as a budget machine is still working today as it did brand new without any issues. It's been overloaded. It's placed in a very hot/cold conservatory, yet it goes on and on. The condenser model I used...

Why do modern hotpoint washing machines spin anti clockwise?

My 2015 Hotpoint Smart 1400rpm spins anti clockwise just like the Elux made AEG and Zanussi's I had prefer. I actually prefer this direction to the clockwise of the Beko that I had when I did a flatshare. I guess it's just what I'm used to. I don't think the direction has anything to do with...

New hotpoint S line washing machine

What a lovely looking machine. Well done on getting one of these. I do like the more expensive models on the Hotpoint line. I have the 9kg Smart model and I am more than happy with its performance, its lovely and quiet on the wash - almost virtually silent and isn't too bad on spinning. I'm...

    BIG BSH DW RECALL

Oh dear, this on top of their fire risk dishwashers from years ago. Not great. I'm not convinced that German quality is quite what it used to be and don't own any German appliances or drive a German car. I have a French car and it's been great. My parents have a Bosch dishwasher here in the...

New hotpoint S line washing machine

Nice machine. I'm sure you will like it. I hope you don't need to make use of their 10 year warranty. Please remember there is a £109 labour charge with this 10 year parts warranty. I'm happy with my 7 month old Hotpoint Smart 9KG washing machine, apart from the time it developed an F05 fault...
