Yes Tim, A condenser of aluminum, metal & copper with blade soaking in condensate water will last forever.Most are not super diligent to remove, drain and place in a closet .What a guy!

Yes ,I have SEEN them too.I have one from 1980 that I keep from our old family home and it leaks a little with a somewhat rotted condenser coil no longer produced. I  brazed a charge port, pulled a vacuum and weighed in the correct charge,while charting temps and pressures for future topping...

While I miss them ,I don't think they are worth the trouble .I'd rather retrofit the controls, panel and grille to a R-134a unit.As you know R-12 is gold and R-22 is silver, to purchase.

That smartload dryer has a few drying options to include manually set timing.That's what I would use when it's 100 degrees .

Paulo, Most dyers can be retrofitted now ,even old ones.The 4" cabinet knockouts are a perfect  fit.Most have/had these.

The ideal clothes dryer would be a sealed unit that pulls make up air from the attic, Especially in the south.Running a dryer while trying to cool a home down here is ridiculous in summer..I have never understood why building codes were not upgraded to require this change in true energy star...

Dude!! 50 bucks with Big time maytag repair info & people here. It's a no brainer.Even if you don't like it you can sell it for that much,probably more if tested & running well.

Hans, My A310 started walking,so I bought new rubbers for the feet,releveled,tightened those nuts and Presto -New Maytag.Seems that old rubbers need to be discarded. IMHO
