    Baumatic in Administration

Chris, only two of them looked like that, the later three were different and the later ones broke earlier than the Servis-badged ones.

    Baumatic in Administration

Good riddance! My uncle had 5 Baumatic integrated washing machines in 2 years, what a load of rubbish they were. On one the installer forgot to take out the bolts, one's concrete weight came apart etc. One didn't even last a day! It was just a rebadged Servis RainWave. No idea what there hobs...

    Persil Dishwasher pods

Persil Pods vs Sainsbury's Ultimate I have been using the pods for 3 weeks now, they have been great and performing better than the Fairy Tablets I had a while ago, I was not sure about using pods after the Fairy ones left behind stains on my crockery. Earlier, I was looking on the...

Co-op If you like the Powerpro pods they are currently on buy one get two free at the Co-op which equals £5.25 for 45 as compared to £13.50 reccomended by Unilever for 45. Haven't used them yet but will do soon as I only have a few Finish tablets left.

    Comparing detergent - testing

Not suprised at all that the Vanish made no difference. In my opinion it doesn't shift the stains and the detergent on its own is a better test, but good that you used it as it is very popular. How about trying Ariel vs Almat, as they have both been awarded Which? Best Buy's in the past and...

Optima I thought It was a WD61N. I too like the look of those kettles. My grandparents had a Morphy Richards or Russell Hobbs kettle, toaster, fryer and can openeer with flower pattern and Country Life written on the side. The kettle, toaster and fryer are long gone now but i think the can...

Optima Is that your store? Would have been great for me to be around then, with lots of people I know having them in the past and some still do. I have the WD64 which is the later washer dryer.

    Hoover A8578 ECOLOGIC Washer/Dryer

Re Liberatordeluxe The WMA30 wouldn't have been around in 1998. They were introduced in March 2000. AquaCycle - She is certainly cuter than the cats round my part of West Yorks so I will have to agree with you on that!

    Tesco voted Britain's worst supermarket

Tom I think you'll like your new Morrison's store. Living not too far from where Morrison's originates, where I live has a fair few Morrison's. They were only available in the North of England until 2004 when they bought lots of ex-Safeway stores after Safeway closed. We had a Safeway in our...

    New Persil 'Small and Mighty'

SMALL AND MIGHTY I saw these in my nans supermarket - they are in 15 & 25 wash sizes, so Persil have cunningly reduced the amount of washes. I like the idea of the rubbing the stains in, its like the Vanish scoops. http://www.persil.co.uk/products/bio-small-mighty/

    Would you wash at 20?

No way! Never below 40 even for delicates 40 or 30. Most clothes I wash at 40 degrees eg darks. Some darks and mixed colours can go on 60 degrees if they are quite dirty. Whites are usually washed at 60 cotton or synthetics for shirts again at 60. Coloured towels at 60 degrees but white...

Hoover 9kg Vision I think not!

Time The current Hoover Vision's have been out since 2007! But I do prefer the 2003 model. I have saved a screen shot of someone who was selling a WM12 on eBay and fuzzed off the 800 and was trying to sell it as 1000.

EW1007 I have a second hand EW1007, it works but I have not been able to do a wash in it yet. The door seal is a bit mouldy, but it is mechanically smooth with no bearing rumble. Here is the spin.
