No obvious signs of any broken pieces and the door still locks shut and will not open until the orange pulley is tugged. It seems the machine just isn't recognising that the door is shut and locked. There is an audible clunk once the lever is pulled and the door opens.

Thanks Henene4, I think you might of confirmed that it is the door locking system. Even when I close the door and try and access the service menu it will not go into that mode. The machine seems to think the door is open when it is not which would explain why the start button will not glow...
