    Kabob-it

Someone posted pics of the Kabob-it at one of their wash-ins. I have been jealous ever since. I was at a giant junk sale and couldn't believe there was one for sale. Fill a box for $5. I would have paid $15 just for the Kabob-it. Got it home and it works and is all complete. Looks like it has...

Questions about an 18 inch wide dishwasher.

I love the comment about getting an ice maker. A GE Americana in harvest gold would be nice. Very George and Weezy Jefferson. Launderess, would it be possible for you to scan or email me the instructions? I know my Viking/G.E built in used different amounts of water for the washes and rinses. I...

Questions about an 18 inch wide dishwasher.

I got the dishwasher to the trailer on the front seat of the car. No big deal fitting it in. I got a cord and plug put on it. I tested it for leaks and it is bone dry. A friend of mine was over and wanted to see how things were going. We got the generator hooked up on the deck and plugged in the...

Questions about an 18 inch wide dishwasher.

First, I have always wanted one. I first saw an 18 inch wide dishwasher about 20 years ago and thought it was so cute. I just bought a 5th wheel trailer and have washed the dishes in the sink twice. I hate washing dishes by hand and it is pretty hard in a sink the size of a thimble. I noticed...

30% off at the local Flea Market.

Of course I had to stop in. The lawn sprinkler was the first to catch my eye. The Rain King model H. Can't wait till spring to try this out. I like the nozzel jets. They remind me of the jets in an industrial dishwasher. Are the jets movable? To me they look like they should be facing each way...

Just How Big/Bulky Are Wringer Washers Anyway?

I would find 30 inches in an apartment somehow to avoid going to the laundromat. Use the wringer as a ice chest for beer. I think my square tub Viking and Easy are only 24 inches wide? I could be mistaken.

    Was bigger better?

The last vintage dishwasher I saw had a very large wash arm. Did big wash arms toss more water around and turn faster than today's slender arms?

You can have whatever you want in the basement.

I was painting a rental house today. The owner was clearing out the last tenant's left behind stuff. The first room was full of old clothes. I wasn't going to look in the second room but caught a glimpse of a dishwasher. Don't want the dishwasher but took the vacuum. Would the dishwasher be from...

Closets in old houses. Probably a question for Launderess

I am painting an old house and find the closets fascinating. I always thought old house had little to none in the way of built in closets. This place has closets all over the place. I can understand having a window in a closets for light, but would your clothes not fade? Putting on curtains and...
