Thanks Malcolm. Maybe John L. can chime in about the latest models, and confirm that they work the same way, and are broken if not. There's a claim on Gardenweb that the new SQ FL models are "less flexible" in how they fill. I hate to see stuff that gives people ammunition to claim that front...

A couple of people on Gardenweb have recent (not sure whether electronic controls) SQ FL's that never add more water after the initial fill. Wash results are less than satisfactory. I say they've got to be broken, but one of them was told by SQ that it's working normally.
