Colour Care Powder - Soon to be gone?

I've used Surcare in the past which was really good, it would be excellent if it had enzymes in it's formulation as it has no perfumes, dyes etc. Thank you for knowing what I mean. It's not the same just chucking in a pod, I like to measure out powder and vary how much I add dependent on load...

    Ariel Colour 3in1 Pods

I definitely will Chris! I've made it before but I watched some soap making videos and made some soap and it worked much better! When I make my next batch I'll send you some soap :) I mentioned upthread I bought some Almat Bio powder yesterday, whilst it is amazing at cleaning and it's overall...

Colour Care Powder - Soon to be gone?

Thing is though, it's the perfumes that cause the irritation. Fairy Non Bio and Persil Non Bio both smell pretty strong, both of which have made my brother itch, yet he is fine with Daz. In other countries, detergents not containing enzymes are normally at the budget end aren't they? But even...

    Ariel Colour 3in1 Pods

Very interesting blog Chris! :) On the eco side of things, I did make my own washing powder a few weeks ago, but I actually made my own soap to use in it rather than buy soap and I think it works better.

Colour Care Powder - Soon to be gone?

Whilst I do like the idea of Ariel pods and Persil S/M liquid, I could not use them all the time. Colour detergents are really hard to find too, Morrisons don't even sell their own brand colour detergent, apart from the capsules I think. It makes me laugh when you see people (usually on mumsnet)...

    Ariel Colour 3in1 Pods

I've read several threads where that poster has commented also and agree with what she says. It's better to buy one detergent with all of the technology in it as opposed to separate products. I used to use colour detergent also, but found the powders left clothes smelling a bit 'off' and the...

    Ariel Colour 3in1 Pods

That makes sense that they have Persil colour as a response to Ariel colour, but they're not needed imo at all. I have actually found though that the best thing to keep clothes longer lasting is to use a decent detergent and a good 40c wash (for most things) and this will get them clean, get all...

    Ariel Colour 3in1 Pods

That's interesting liamy1 about Unilever workers, considering they manufacture Comfort and Persil in a colour variant. I have found though that colour powder doesn't work very well, to me there seems little point in buying it when colour liquids or even a standard liquid do better imo. As far as...

    New Ariel Powder

I would. It works very well. Was in Morrisons earlier too and they have the new Daz packaging and the smell has changed for that too. Quite similar to the Ariel actually just not as sweet smelling.

    New Ariel Powder

I saw the new box design around September on supermarket websites but we never had those Nazi boxes in the UK. @Limy1 I last bought a box in June and it's the older style with 'Outstanding Stain Removal in 1 Wash' on the front. The earliest I saw the next box design was the weekend before last...

    Colour catch sheets?

I find they only really work if you use the proper ones but they're very good when washing new clothes.

    New Ariel Powder

Picked this up the other day in Tescos because of the new packaging and really wasn't expecting the scent to change! I didn't mind it in it's previous formula but in this new one the smell is amazing! It just smells clean, with quite a grassy scent that the old Ariel used to have, it smells...

    Worst Laundry Detergent

zanussi_lover I'm really liking Surf at the moment too. I loved the Herbal Extracts liquid and was pleased to buy the Classic Fresh powder at £4 in August. It smells lovely with just a clean smell that smells very akin to Surf Breeze which I adored. It pairs very nicely with the the blue...

    Colour Care Detergents

@liamy1 I've used the Tesco one with no problems at all. It smells nice too, I'm assuming it's the same as the Sainsbury's version which is most likely :))

    Colour Care Detergents

Lej I have actually found Persil Small & Mighty Bio is brilliant for whites at 60c.

    Colour Care Detergents

I've used Tesco & Almat Colour powders with no problems & they perform exactly the same as Ariel colour, but usually I just use any detergent of my choice which isn't normally a colour variant. I haven't tried Persil colour but Ariel colour works well & has a gorgeous scent when I decide to use...

    UK Persil Price Alert

Sainsbury's had 30 wash Persil S/M refill bags in Bio for 50p, don't know why because the Colour & Non-Bio were still £6. Sold out unfortunately otherwise I would've bought some. They did have Ariel Clean & Compact colour for 50p so I bought some of that instead. Persil Small & Mighty 60 wash...

Persil History Thread - Info/pictures/videos appreciated!

That's very interesting to hear Ariel Stain Remover has been pulled, I guess since Ariel always boasts 'Outstanding Stain Removal in 1 wash' & the liquid 'removes up to 95% of the stain first time' then it seems odd that you'd have to add a stain remover to that. Plus Vanish will always sell...

    Tide HE detergent UK

Purchased the HE Original Liquid back in March, good cleaning performance, wasn't too keen on the fragrance, I've gone off P&G detergents a bit. Since Persil introduced new packaging I've been using that & Comfort for a couple of months now.
