Washing White Bedding with Ariel - Still stained! :(

135ml unless the load was really soiled I'd use.

Washing White Bedding with Ariel - Still stained! :(

I'd probably add the extra 35ml if its a full 6kg load. Nothing looks dirty but f it's a full load I always add a but more. Usually my loads don't fill up the machine so I don't add the extra amount.

Do Clothes Fade Regardless Of What Detergent You Use?

Well most colour detergents here don't have them. I checked earlier today & Ariel Colour & Tesco Colour are OBA free. I'm gonna give Ariel Colour another a try, it's been ages since I last used it.

Washing White Bedding with Ariel - Still stained! :(

Yes, 155ml for heavy soiled loads always does the trick for me. With Bold I have found it word quite well actually, it's just basically Daz with fabric conditioning properties & scent IMO, works exactly the same.

Do Clothes Fade Regardless Of What Detergent You Use?

There isn't really much of a specialist detergent available, apart from Woolite Darks. But like I said earlier I wash all ther items like underwear with the trousers too so I need something that cleans well. Then again I suppose I could try the Woolite.

Washing White Bedding with Ariel - Still stained! :(

If its the latest powder it should have the new Ariel logo on it. Glad you have used 102ml & that everything has come out clean. Do you use the colour version aswell?

Washing White Bedding with Ariel - Still stained! :(

Like I said a full scoop is 200ml. The amount of powder used to get the stated number of washes on the box is 102ml, that's for normal soiling. The amount for heavy soiling is 155ml. This is the dosage for medium water hardness. It also states that if you have a machine bigger than 6kg that you...

Do Clothes Fade Regardless Of What Detergent You Use?

I mostly use the A59' program on my Hoover at 40c which works well. Jacob - I've used the Almat before & it's good, has a pleasant smell too. Mum & Dad have Costco memberships but I know if I buy a bug box I'll get halfway through it & not use it again. Persil Colour has quite a strong scent...

Washing White Bedding with Ariel - Still stained! :(

Yes I use the recommended amounts, I always find if I add less then the wash results differ & not come out as clean. I use the blue scoop which holds 200ml of powder at max, so using a FULL scoop Rolls_rapide is effectively twice the dosage since the new compact version uses 102ml which is half...

Do Clothes Fade Regardless Of What Detergent You Use?

Hi I've noticed that Black clothes (particularly school trousers which I have to wash every week) tend to fade quite quickly. The pair I bought in September have faded quite drastically but I guess washing them every week does ave it's effect. I don't like using liquids, I feel that they don't...

Washing White Bedding with Ariel - Still stained! :(

I'm quite surprised to hear this. I've had a cold too & also spilt cough mixture on the bedding. It was the mucous cough type so it was green. I also spilt a blackcurrant cold relief drink too when it got knocked out if my hand. When I changed the bedding on the weekend I used the 155ml dose of...

    P&G is at it again

Ariel has a very citrusy smell, combined with blue Lenor produces a nice scent. Bold is the one to watch it has so much perfume in it these days you are able to tell who's washed their clothes in it it's that strong. Persil non bio powder doesnt have a nice smell. Well not in the box anyway. On...

Where did you get those 'attitude' detergents from may I ask?

Ecover & Method aren't actually that bad considering. They work pretty well & smell quite natural which makes a change. I did see Ecover Washing Powder in Poundland a month or so ago, & I loved it then so I quite a few boxes, but I went off of it, didn't know why though.

Liamy1 I have both Colour & Bio Ariel but I just use the Bio one mostly. Doesn't the colour version contain more enzymes?

Forgot to add aswell, Almat Bio is good for clean rinsing & my mum tried it on a 30c wash with some bath mats (I didn't know until the wash had finished) & thy cane out sparkling clean. I've only ever see it on a 40c so far but for £2.39 a box you cannot go wrong.

Thanks liamy1 & nickuk for your replies. Nickuk Daz is quite good as a general detergent. It cleans, smells nice & is cheap for what it is. However, I find that Ariel makes clithes smell cleaner & look fresher too, anything I wash with Ariel always tends to come out cleaner & brighter than it...
