    Zote soap!

OK I am hooked on this STPP info. Where on earth do you buy it? I have never heard of it other than reading about it here. My water is hard but I have no idea how hard. I use a wringer washer only and Tide, Ariel and Oxydol powders all suds nicely. So, maybe it is not to hard. Anyhow, can...

    Zote soap!

Well, I checked my Walmart yesterday for the Zote flakes and bars and found neither. So, I came home and got on Amazon and found both. I ordered a 4 pak of the bars and a box of the flakes. They were not all that high in price so went for it. I always use hot water in the wringer so it...

    Home Queen Brand Wringer Washers

My experience with these Home Queen Wringers is not good. A couple of years ago I had decided to blow the money and buy one at Lehman's. At that time there was a Mr. Kerby who was the parts manager but has since been promoted. He demoed one for me after having told me they ARE NOT to be...

    NIB Finds

My new gals I use as daily drivers. the SQ BOL I found in PA and my friend Chris from NY went and got it and then I drove to NY to bring her home. She was NIB but for some reason the paper had been removed from her rolls. She had never been used. I folded up the box and kept it. The Maytag...

Whirlpool wringer for sale (N Canton OH)

I was going to go look at this washer but decided against it. He told me when I talked with him on the phone that he had no idea if it worked and that I would have to drive there to see if it did in fact work. I guess I must not have wanted it very bad LOL. The only thing against it is...

    parts manual

Hi Susie, I have never bought anything from Dave so I don't know of his reputation. As far as parts go for underneath the washers the N and the E are the same. Of course the tubs and wringers are different. The N has a smaller 16 gal round tub and the wringer is shaped different and has...

    Hi Gray Ghost collectors !

Hi Brad, I don't know but will look next time I go down to the shop. I hope there is. I DID look for a wringer roll bearing for you but found none. That is the only part I am aware of on the old gals by seeing the pic of yours. Will let you know. Jim

    Hi Gray Ghost collectors !

While going through some NOS/NIP Maytag Wringer parts at my Amish friends Friday, I found a good size box of NOS/USED parts for these old gals. I have no idea what the parts are nor do they since they do not rebuild them. If anyone is in need of a Gray Ghost/Round Tub MT part I may be able to...

It really must be Maytag Wringer month

Hi Susie, There are lot of members with much expertise about Maytag Wringer Washers in the club. I know just enough about them to get myself into trouble. I am certain that someone here can help you with your questions. It would be helpful if you could give the serial number of the machine...

STORM WARNING!!..we are being hit hard!!!!!

I am sorry to learn of your damage from the storm Yogie ! Hail is horrible and so very destructive to an auto or anything in it's path really. Glad you are OK but sorry to hear of your pet loss. I am an animal of all kind lover. Hope you can come out of this OK. Especially that beautiful...

Update: Well got my wringer washer up and running but there's a problem...

I agree with Larry about the agitator. I think the lever is attached wrong and won't allow it to engage. The little lever the rod attaches to has to be in the right position prior to attaching and I can't remember if it is on or off. The wringer housing can be a bit complicated to take apart...

Please help! Wringer washer N2LS maytag

The S in the model number of your washer means Safety. It had a small plastic bulb pedal you had to place your foot on to get the wringer to run. If button was not depressed the wringer would not run. You can bypass this safety item by placing a 1/2 inch bolt in the place where the plastic is...

How much water does your washer use?

I use my wringers as daily drivers. I always spin each load in the auto to remove more water prior to drying. Saves time and electric. No wringer can remove as much water as spinning does. Jim
