    Bosch drum 'jolt'

Hi all, I wonder if someone can give me an answer, as curiosity is getting the better of me. Today at work, I was just looking at a few machines, and armed the drum of a Bosch. I noticed that the drum just abruptly stopped, it didn't coast down like the others. I tried it on other Bosch...

    Testers wanted- UK

Hello all, I'm wondering if the great AW family could help me with a project I'm working on. I'm looking at the stain effectiveness for modern washing machines, so I have a stain sample make up ready to see how much of the stain is removed, so I require volunteers. I am looking for modern...

    AEG dishwasher lives another day

Hi all, so recently we have had minor issues with our AEG Favorit F86070vi dishwasher. I have no idea how old it actually is, perhaps someone might be able to date it. Anyway, it's always worked flawlessly however it's not been heating recently. Our first thought could be the control board...

Say hello to my new LG

Had some teething problems with it. It started making a metallic scraping noise when coasting up. Turns out, the back panel was rather heavily dented so was rubbing on the motor. It must have happened either in the store or transport. It's knocked back in shape, and it's silent. Had the...

Calling all UK members- some help needed

Hello all, I am working on a project which involves building a prototype, and various tests. I'm doing it so I can apply for a position at a much loved company of mine. The help would be to launder some test strips with stains to test cleaning efficiency, ideally the more volunteers the...

Say hello to my new LG

I'm sure Darren will appreciate it! I like this machine though, still tweaking the leveling, but the noise level is minimal. The steam really works, but it doesn't look visible through the glass. Overall I like it, it seems a bargain for an LG

Say hello to my new LG

My new acquisition! I saw it at work, it was end of line reduced to £330. I didn't need it, but I thought at the price, I could keep it in storage for whenever I require it. But as we're fans of appliances, I had to have a try out, so I put it in place of the Miele. It's model F14A8TDSA5, 8kg...

What is the WORSE washer you have ever owned

I haven't used that many so can't really pass judgement. Machines I've used: Hoover New Wave- we had this for over 10 years, wasn't a bad machine, at the end of its life it was overheating Zanussi Nexus- late nans machine, not bad, nothing spectacular. Hotpoint wma35- we were given one of...

Interesting, are Panasonic in bed with Gorenje? They look like Gorenje machines.

Just how much is too much...

Yes, I was always under the impression it was one hands width. That's what I do, never had any problems so far. I guess when it starts filling and tumbling, the air is knocked out, making the load appear smaller.

This is why you buy Miele

Always better, forever better, they're both fitting. I'm amazed no one has twigged as to why we call it Markus. Come on Miele fans!
