    Lady Kenmore

The dryer is gold in color, with like a darker tone of gold around all the edges of the machine as if one would have painted the machine gold and then took an airbrush and faded some darker tone of gold around all the edges. I doubt that there are any manufactures nowadays that would put such...

was interested in what year this washer was built

My Mother had one like this back in the 1960's at her beauty salon to wash dirty towels from the shampoo room. I think hers was a Kenmore of some sort. Have you ever converted a gas dryer over to electric. I do it all the time on the GE's and Kenmore/Whirlpools.

    Lady Kenmore

Yes, I tend to agree with you on the age of it. The garage door is in perfect working order. I am wanting to know if I should keep this machine or go ahead and sell it as I do all my electric dryers that I re-condition for profit. I am not really a collector but I feel that it may be sacreligos...

    Lady Kenmore

I would like to hear some information from some of the old timers here about a Lady Kenmore electric clothes dryer. I recently found one on a man's curbside trash pile. He told me it worked, which it di. It is gold in color. It has a plastic sliding door that is woodgrain. The door slides up and...

    Whirlpool washer problem

Coldspot, what pins are you talking about? The shipping pins? I know about the coupling thing. It is perfect. I can't figure this one out for anything. I keep suspecting it to be the clutch. I have put this machine on the backburner for now until I have a brainstorm on it. So many more projects...

    GE Washer problem/question

Turns out that the machine hadnt spun out in quite sometime after his wife called me and told me the lowdown. He took the clutch apart and sandpapered it and oiled the LGS spring and has had no problem so far. Only problem he has is paying my ass.

    all new ge washers

GE should have never ventured away from thier classic model that they sold for so many years. I almost have enough concrete couterweight blocks collected up to complete my patio from those old stanbys.

Our Whirlpool at work is not healthy

The most I can tell about this one is that it may be the 'coupling' between the transmission and the motor that has seized up the motor which may explain the fuses blowing because of too many amps being pulled trying to start the motor. I know the whining noise you speak of. I have seen new or...

Does the Aberdeen Farm still exist?

I think it would be pretty cool to take a stroll through the farm. I know of a mini-farm here that we lovingly refer to as the 'boneyard.' It belongs to a local new and used appliance dealer here. He allows me to search for parts out there during his business hours. He usually takes one of my...

    Whirlpool washer problem

I am trying to fix a relatively newer model whirlpool washer. The machine wouldnt spin or agitate so i replaced the transmission. Now it will spin for a few minutes and just slow down to a stop. Could it be a clutch problem? I understand that some of these have an electromechanical clutch.

    My cat loves my Washer!

I don't wanna bore you all but I once had a cat named "Cricket", she was washed in a dishwasher and a washing machine as a kitten. Evedently she survived long enough to get chewed up a bit when I cranked up my old 1970 model Buick Skylark. She got it on the butt by the fan. She survived yet...

    Favorite Detergents~

Anyone on here ever tried an off the beaten trail brand of detergent called "POWER CYCLE?" I sometimes buy it at a grocery store chain called "Sav-A-Lot. I like it pretty much. I buy it when the money is running low in the old pocket cause it's cheap but good.

He uses the powder on his oilfield clothes. I guess you ain't never been in the oilfield up there in Jersey eh? Around here, you are either in the oilfield or in an industry that is connected to the oilfield in one way or another.

    GE Washer problem/question

The other day I went to a man's house to replace the agitator on his GE washer. The washer is one of the newer models, the ones that have the four rubber straps on each corner of the tub as its balancing system. Well, I replaced the agitator and went to demonstrate the washer to the man so I...

    Whirlpool repair on YouTube

Brett, I love your video but you went about it the hard way. Are you retarded? Just kidding. I love ya bro. All you had to do was lay you machine over on it's back and access the pump. A ten minute job at most. But I admire you enthusiasm. Go boy go.

who makes the best dryer ?

May I quote Bobby from the cartoon "KING OF THE HILL" "Dad says Butane is a BASTARD GAS, GO PROPANE." HAHA' But Kenmore and Whirlpool are the best dryers. Bulletproof as can be.
