Yeah, I threw out my offer and if they had not accepted I would have moved on.  I've still got the fridge keeping me relatively busy at the moment.   The mentality these days seems to be if it's old it's worth a mint.  I try and remind people that while these appliances are indeed well built...

Phil, thank you for posting this!  I've been looking for an older model KitchenAid for a while.  I finally stopped checking frequently and one local-ish to me finally popped up!   I picked her up tonight and just unloaded her into my garage.  I offered $80; $200 was just way too much.

That yellow set actually has gone up in price.  I've been watching it for a while; it started at $1600, went up to $1900, and now seems to be at $2600.  The seller doesn't seem to understand that if an item doesn't sell at the initial price, it's probably because it's price way too high...

It in no way makes you odd.  I've been lusting after metal cabinets for years now.  I just have no space to store them until the kitchen renovation.  I would go with pink, yellow, grey, or white for ours.

Sandy, I agree with your sentiments exactly.  I've been trying to recreate something similar in our kitchen and it has taken me a number of years to just acquire the appliances.  I guess there's no fixing stupid.

I imagine these would be up Allen's (Funktionalart) alley.  I'm sadly in no need of any more appliances at the moment, nor do I have space (until I clear some room in the garage).  They look to be in really nice shape; the dishwasher alone would be a nice score!

I'm glad these are on the wrong coast; I love the look of the Westy slant fronts and would consider getting a pair.  Since I have absolutely no room for another set, this would not bode well.   I hope someone can save them!

Looks like an A700; cosmetically it looks to be in decent shape.  I wonder if the leak is repairable?
