why didn't these catch on We lived in a 1955 ranch when I was growing up and we had the fridge in pink, even had the glass storage sliders on the bottom. It was a cool concept and as I recall easy to access. I don't recall my mother ever complaining that it was too big or too small or...

    Interesting electrical products catalog

I enjoyed as well esp. the lighting section. I remember my mother having the WH vac. When I was little I thought it was a rocket. Mother's got retired in the late 60's. I agree some items were very expensive considering the wages for that time. I guess that's why my parents did and also taught...

Looking for a cookware set, not sure where to start!

Sam's Club Someone above mentioned checking Sam's. I'm not a fan of non-stick but I got a full set of the Markers Mark from Sam's about 13 years ago as a Christmas gift. They have gotten a lot of service and still are not peeling or scraped up. Overall I've been pleased.

    Cook-O-Rama! Part Two

Accent/Ann Landers meatloaf I've made the Ann Landers meatloaf twice in the past few weeks. First off it really is the best meatloaf I've eaten and it didn't upset my gut. I bought Accent for the very first time when I made the first meatloaf. I had no idea what it was until I got home...I...

POD 07/02/2018 - Norge Dispensomat washer & dryer

I've always wondered about the model. She has to stand behind the machine, pour Sta-Puff in the cup on the front, hold her other arm up pointing to the other laundry products and smile and look into the camera. Every time I see this ad I wonder how takes did they do to get everything together...

    Instant Pot recipies

cookbook was worthless I got the Insta pot for Christmas..love it!!! I ordered a cookbook off amazon..it was worthless!!! In fact I threw it in the trash. #1. It was not written for the American cook...I don't have scales to measure, I don't know what a "knob" of butter is and I assume a "tin"...

Do you use a deep fryer?

reuse the oil Not that my mother fried a whole lot; in fact it was a treat it was so rare; but she always reused the oil. She had 2 bottles/containers for oil. One for fish only and the other for chicken, orka, potatoes. Guess that's about all she fried...she never made homemade donuts..ha!

norgeway is correct dried pinto beans are a staple down here. I swear if I ever move out of the south I'll never eat another bean!!! I don't soak them anymore. Tks...great info. I talked to our maintenance guy at the office and he said he would come by next week and change out my tank. He said he would bring it up to code but I plan on living my last days in the house so I don't plan on selling anytime in the next 20 years. I'm seeing this electronic...

    hot water tank

Over the holiday weekend I was in shower, glanced down and the water was a brownish color. First thought "what have I been doing to get this dirt". Then thought the fire department had flushed the lines and that often times causes me to have brownish water. Well...come to find out it's coming...

Anyone still use a iPhone 4S?

I've used an S4 since 2013. I've always kept it in an Otter Box and have never had any problmes with the phone or battery. I did dirve off with it on the hood of the car last summer. Ended up finding it on the on ramp to the freeway. It had been run over by countless cars. Had the glass...

    Nutone Food Center

exact one For a few years we lived in a home built in 1955. Everything was pink. We had the Nutone Food Center as well. I remember my mother using the mixer, but it was easier for her to grab her GE hand mixer. The knife sharpner worked so-so, and my mother just plain hated the blender...think...
