    Whirlpool "Sixth Sense" washers

Looks like WP did quietly release their new laundry line of machines. I knew a couple of people here had prototype/trainer models to evaluate before the release. Does anyone here have one? Are they worth a damn? Any pics or videos? Thanks.

    Need more DW detergent.

OK, I've run out of my bottle of Cascade Phosphate Free (I didn't notice it was PF until it was too late). So what else is out there? Does Electrosol still have phosphates? I know there are Electrosol tablets with Jet Dry in them. Are those worth getting? Any help appreciated. Dishwasher...

    C's list antique "entertainment center"

The turntable has two knobs so I'm guessing it's 3 speed. Mono records ONLY!

Comes on but doesn't work Yeah, those paper caps leaked their electrolyte out, some resistors may be open or out of tolerance. A tube or two might be crapped out as well. Worth getting and trying to restore.

    Window A/C Thread

Chrysler The one I remember had rotary controls (but love the 70s sliders too). If I will guess the Chrysler came with the house, it was a 1965 model. Steve, I think GE still makes a model like your Panasonic and was rated by CR being "good" for noise.

    Window A/C Thread

I love window AC as well for the hum and white noise. The constant 60hz hum and fan noise is unbelievably soothing at night. And I have to have a radio on too. As far as vintage AC's my parents had a Chrysler Airtemp in the kitchen and a WA Wizard in the bedroom when I was growing up. I'll...

    Worst chore! MOWING.

WHAT? Who here hates mowing? I enjoy riding on the Bolens and mowing the yard. I installed new mulching blades on it and it works great. Stihl trimmers for the win too! They're less finicky than others at getting started and running. I put some premium string (that has sharp edges) and it...

    carocelle

I actually want one, just for the novelty of it. It probably doesn't work worth a darn but for the kitsch factor, especially if it's a vintage 70s one.

    2010 Minneapolis Wash In

Geez I wish I could go. Totally strapped for $$$ these days. Everything is at a screeching halt here. Maybe next time :-(

    Calypso vs. Cabrio

Darren Love the window lid on that Calypso. That must have been a demo machine.

    Calypso vs. Cabrio

Oasis I haven't had a problem, yet. Although the suspension creaks a little when the tub moves. Also, the OCB may have 4.0 cu/ft "Canyon Capacity". The dryer is only 7.0, so a true full to the top load will overload the dryer.

    Oasis/Cabrio owners

The aquasmart uses WAY more water than the Oasis does. I may have to make some more videos that show the water level at Normal, Sheets/Towels, and Bulky/Bedding cycle.

Dan Love that Boogie Oogie Oogie 12" single. 12"'ers for the win.

Please help me achieve whiter whites

Togs So you add detergent to the prewash, and then another to the soak cycle and then another to main wash? I'm guessing using less as you go? Also, what if you're a loser (like me) and can't do a boil wash? Use hot water? I'm trying to figure this out too with getting the yuck off the wash...

    Calypso vs. Cabrio

pancake motor Definitely. The one moving part on those machines is the direct drive motor and the floating tub that engages the wash plate. They seem easy to troubleshoot from reading the tech sheet.

    When it comes to disco I let my 1968 Maggie do the talking <object width=640 height=385><param name=movie value=></param><param name=allowFullScreen value=true></param><param name=allowscriptaccess value=always></param><embed src= type=application/x-shockwave-flash allowscriptaccess=always...

    Calypso vs. Cabrio

As an Oasis owner I say.. Calypso. Much more fun to watch, more action, and it rolls over a whole lot more than the orange juicer that it's in the O/C/B. Most fun HE washer (besides the classic Frigemore) has to be the Neptune Top Loader. What a weird thing but from what I see in videos, it...
