    Laundress.....Foolish Question?

Thank You Laundress..... Thank you for the input..... I knew you would have the answer. I really like the stain removal power of oxygen bleaches and now I understand how they work. Frigilux...I also like Clorox for its germ killing ability....somehow I have always liked the smell of LCB doing...

    Door Seals

Come to think of it the WASCOMAT machines at the laundromat do have that flat seal......so why do so many use that "big" seal?

    Laundress.....Foolish Question?

At which temperature do oxygen bleaches become effective? Is it over kill to go beyond that temperature, or do they become more effective the higher you go over that initial activation temperature?

    Door Seals

It seems that all Front Loaders have a door seal that is the "bellow" style with the intruding glass door/window...ASKO is the only one that uses a flat rubber seal with a flat glass door/window. The ASKO design seems so much less complicated and simple to repair if need be...so why does no one...

    470 watts, Holy smokes!!!

Funny I tend to "do it up" at Christmas time. Last week it was unseasonably warm so the heat wasn't kicking on much. One night it felt kind of warm in here so I looked at the thermostat and just the Christmas lights had warmed it up 4 degrees over a 4 hour period. Can't wait to see the bill.....

The Big Question - Extraction Ability

Robert......Maytag Wringer I am anxious to see the results from the wringer. My Bosch FL (with 1200 RPM) has been down for 3 weeks and while waiting for the motor replacement, I have been using my 54 Maytag Wringer. I am putting things throught the wringer twice and heavy items 3 times and the...

The Big Question - Extraction Ability

I think that these kind of tests are very initeresting. I am actually surprised the results were that good with the bendix at 250 RPM

    Ban SUV's NOW!

I hate all of them All I can think of is the big "Wagon Queen Family Truck-sters" (National Lampoon's Family Vacation) Before us kids talked my Dad into a Mercedes-Benz, we had 3 station wagons, and yes, you could pile everything in, but they were ugly. SUV's and Mini Vans fall into the same...

    LG Complaints

I Empathize....... Peter, I have read all of the posts from you with this nightmare and I want to share my story with you. In 1997 I was working as a designer for a local furniture and appliance store. At that time ASKO extended an incredible offer to us as a dealer. We were able to purchase 1...

    List of Detergents

Launderess, Thank You I love reading your posts....You are a wealth of knowledge. I like the scent and performance of Tide with Bleach, but the front loader doesn't...it always makes too much suds with things like whites, towels, and sheets....maybe because of the high wash temp (160) ? I also...

    List of Detergents

Does anyone know of a site that lists all the brands of Detergents, Fabric Softeners, and Additives sold in the US today? I am curious to see just what else is out there other than the "regulars" I see at the supermarket. Thanks

    Suavitel Fabric Softener

I Like that brand as well....over the summer I tried their baby scented one....washed white sheets and towels with Ivory Snow & Clorox, used that softener and hung them on the line .... they smelled incredible

    L G Shocker

Do you have to call an "800" # for service with Best Buy as you do if purchasing from a Lowes or Home Depot or Sears? I still have a private appliance dealer locally with on site service technicians and keep hoping that they will stick around another 50 years. This place is great...to look at it...

    L G Shocker

Your Problem is Solved I just finished reading .... I believe that you will continue to get good service because you have finally been paired up with a service technician that is actually good at what he does, enjoys it, and cares about his clients. I have had very good luck with service...

    I am so frustrated.....Any advice?

cybrvanr Thanks for the education...I needed that. As for the wiring in the house...both washers plug into the dryers and the dryer directly into the 220 outlet so I figured if it was in the house it would have gotten the dryer as well, but still I had an electrician check the house wiring when...
