My mother called me tonight complaining that her Maytag Atlantis dryer doesn't seem to be working any more. She says clothes eventually get dry, but when she opens the door, she doesn't feel heat. Since it sounds like the they eventually get dry I'm inclined to think that it must be heating at...
Wash Tower
I never understood how an upper wash arm could deliver a reasonable wash unless it was fed from a hard pipe or hose, as opposed to simply squirting a jet of water into the inlet. I used to have a WP model with the plastic lower wash arm (with two square jets and three round jets on...
Actually, in mine, the Normal Wash with Hi-temp is RWRRD. The first R is quick. In the Heavy, the manual says to include detergent. I put a little detergent in the open dispenser on the Normal w/Hi-temp anyway,
JetStream
I've always wanted to see one of these models in action...I have a hard time understanding out the JetStream tower really works. It appears to simply be one big jet that shoots into the bottom of the top wash arm and I wonder how it could actually go in with enough force for the jets...
New Whirlpool
Presumably it's a neutral drain? I have the DD drive model and have never liked it as much as my Maytag Dependable Care. Also, are there spin-sprays? My Maytag had a spin-spray after wash, first and second rinse. My Whirlpool only includes it after the first rinse.
..
Yes, Frigidaire dishwashers are pretty crummy. When my Mom moved about a decade back, there was a new BOL Frigidaire tall tub. Ugh! Miserable performance. Didn't clean well, and if you didn't pre-rinse dishes it left all kinds of crap in the tub. We replaced it with a Kenmore sensing...
I'm curious, which of the new model dishwasher models have the most rinses after wash? My Whirlpool has the single purge then one full rinse after most cycles, and only two full rinses for the Pots & Pans or Hi-temp cycles. I always use a Hi-temp or Pots & Pans because I don't think that very...
Just like my original...
The dial on this machine looks like my original Maytag, except where the water return is, was a prewash/soak for the main cycle.
Any advice? I have a two story home, and a stairway, no pets, and the vacuum I have now is a Hoover bagless, and it's such a drag trying to empty it. Also, as it fills up, the suction really goes down.
New WP Model
That model looks like they took my model, made it a tall-tub, and wanted to save on the console.
I never use the heated dry...I just wish they had an extra rinse option. I'm most concerned about a good rinse, perhaps more so than a hi-temp wash.
Maytag
I love the Maytag top loaders. I had a 94 model dependable care washer and dryer and loved them. The dryer is still running, the washer was damanged in storage. I replaced it with a newer dependable care and the tubseal became a problem just as Whirlpool bought them. I replaced it...
