I really hope that someday, I will fine a Frigidaire Unimatic washer. It would be a wonderful piece to add to my collection. Very nice machine, Eddie. I cannot imagine how awesome it is to own and use one of these machines.

Availability I am also wondering how common it is to come across these machines. Are they easily obtained or does it usually take years of searching? What condition are they usually in when they are found?

I am assuming that someone has already claimed this machine, as I would not be able to afford it anyhow. I would like to congratulate the person who is the lucky owner of this machine. I have never seen such an old machine in such mint condition.

Bob, Could you please tell me if the washer has the perforated basket filter system or the bed of nails system. Also, I don't know how I could get to NC to get the machine.

Basically I am just in search of general knowledge about them. What it was like to use them, how often they broke down, how difficult they are to repair, which ones were the best models, what are the advantages and disadvantages about using them. I really just would like opinions about them...

I am looking to learn more about the Frigidaire unimatic washers. I really like the control tower unimatics and the ones with the colorful three ring agitators. Any info about these washer will be helpful, as I am just trying to gain knowledge about the early Frigidaire machines.

I have the same range in white. I love the microwave part of it. I learned how to cook on that stove from my grandmother and now it is sitting in my basement.

Dryer That is one of my biggest problems with dryers. I can only use gas dryers because our house is not equipped with 220 electric. Please leave me know if you come across any washers in our area.

Roger Is the dryer gas or electric? Also is the avacado washer in the picture you posted the one that you are using for parts or is it available also? You only live 3.5 hours away from me so it would not be a bad trip. Congrats on the harvest gold washer from appliances unlimited!
