rinso I hated seeing that rack design change too. It was a great design that made Maytag very unique.

My parents had one similar and the wash action was great! Somewhat noisy, but is a classic design and for $1.00...even if it doesn't work, it's a great machine to learn the "how to" on. I say go for it. :)

washboy2005 Thanks for the info..too bad about the Dyson...that looked like a cool machine, I was hoping to see it here in person. I agree about the Miele....I believe that is a nice machine, but 2000rpm wow!

Richard, my Bosch is the Axxis 2460. Your pictures are great. I was looking at front loaders available in Europe and is the Hoover similar styling to the Samsung? And what do you know about the Dyson? That looks quite unique! I also saw a brand named Gorenje...is that a good one? I think it said...

    West Coast Maytag Dryer

love that style There has always been something about the old Maytag styling that has appealed to me since I was a kid. They have a certain strong, conservative style much like an old Mercedes Benz.

Need help deciding between 24-inch FL models

too many reviews I believe that the WP compact has an internal water heater and 1200rpm spin...high end features for a great price. As far as all of the reviews, they really can confuse the potential buyer. I had an ASKO pair that were a nightmare and know 2 other people with the same story...

coldspot66 After doing 3 loads today, I went to see if agitation speed is still normal and it seems to be bogged down now...what does that mean? Also I have noticed a rubber smell when it first starts draining/spinning.

Agiflow Sure do...I have always loved British comedy...it all started with Are You Being Served when I was a kid then to Ab Fab, Keeping Up Appearances, As Time Goes By, and The Vicar of Dibley ( I think that is it...with Dawn French ) ?

coldspot66 It agitates fine and at normal speed (from what I know of my Gram's). The noise seems to be coming from the bottom of the machine. The pulley is a good possibility....I will check it.

When agitating and spinning it has a squeak...almost like a "chirp". It is not in rhythm with the agitation pattern and remains the same through the spin. It is not having difficulty performing (at least to my knowledge), but the noise shouldn't be there. Being kind of new to this, I am not too...

Why it's important to keep that dryer vent clean!

Polkanut....some people call it archaic, but I also hang wash whenever possible, to me it smells so nice. A friend of mine said "Your sheets that smell so nice are acting like giant HEPA filters hanging on that line". Never thought of it that way, but guess it's kind of true, however I still...

Richard, your machine is not only stylish, but very well appointed too. I like the 95c wash temp and the high rinse level. I had an ASKO which also did both, and whites came out beautiful. That machine, however was terribly unreliable. If it weren't, I would have never got rid of it (when it...

What a stylish machine! Can you give some specs on it like water temps, spin speeds, etc.? When shopping, I saw a Samsung refrigerator and noticed it's sharp styling too.
