Interesting brochure.....An Aussie 1960's ASTOR made under licence to APEX !

Fascinating Leon!  When I was 9 years old I saw one of these machines on the curbside waiting to be hauled away.  It too had a light green fiberglass solid tub and an agitator similar to the Speed Queen traditional 3 vane.  I can't remember what brand name was on it, however it was not Astor...

    Beatty Wringer Washer

Would love to see an interior shot of the agitator.  Does this model have a pump or is it gravity drain?  Very nice find!

    Asko

I think you will be very happy with those.  I have an earlier Asko model and am very pleased with it.  The 220 volt heater heats fast.  Very well rinsing machines, I even think that model has an option for 7 rinses and the high water level.

OMG a member from Burnaby Hi there neighbour, nice to see another member from Burnaby BC.  My sister has the same machine and loves it.  It was probably bought at McIvers as they are the only place I know of that carry the Huebsch machines.

    FriGEmore question

Thanks Eugene That's good input, thank you.  What year was the second 3.1 cf Frigidaire you had built?  Did they both end up with the dreaded bearing problems?  The "newest" one I've seen operate was built in 2005 and it did the spray flush "suds kill" after the main wash.  Hopefully someone...
