You pay for what you get...

I have had a Whrlpool dishwasher for nearly 30 years now. I dont know or care what wash system it is. I pack it full of dishes and turn the dial on once or twice a week and everything comes out fine the next morning. I always buy a better product that will last, hopefully. 40 years ago I bought...

Your window ACs in use this season.

I have a 1985 8000 btu Frigidaire in my bedroom and so far it has ran 15 nights this summer with this wicked humidity and it still turns the room into meat locker temps, the way I like to sleep. I would much rather have this weather than snow and cold in January any day.

    Fanless Whirlpool Microwave

Will you guys STOP this stupid fighting, people will buy whatever they want and you can try to say who is stupider. It doesnt matter to anyone but you. I still have a 1977 Whirlpool Mark Series microwave that still works fine, but at max 750 watts, it was much faster in 1977 it seemed, but not now.

Toyota engine recall:3.4 v6 twin turbo

I was turned off with Toyota after my ex-wife's Celica engine had repeated valves burn out and the local dealer had their hands tied and could only replace the valves that would fail again but Toyota covered that under warranty but refused to fix the big problem.

When were Roper Washers first introduced?

I bought in 1995 and still use daily a Whirlpool branded gas range that works just fine all the time. The instruction packet had an installation guide for an Amana range which somehow was just like mine, but with generic illustrations. But I used to see quite a few Roper Gas stoves as a kid in...

    Worse invention of last 30yrs...

Those blue headlights that hit you are like a flashbulb blinding you. LED traffic lights are worthless up here in a snowstorm because there is no heat to melt the snow off.

    Water Softener Recommendations, Please

30 years ago I had a Rain Soft softener put in Then in about 20 years and I couldnt get a replacement valve. Worked ok until it didnt. I had a local plumber install a Blake unit that works fine. My well water has a high iron content so I have to use rust-remover salt, one 40 lb. bag a month.

    1974 Kenmore washer

My mother ordered the same model from Sears, On Sale, and it took about a month to be delivered, but it showed the same wear later on but still worked fine. The filter was always a pain to clean.

    Dr Pepper

For all of my 70 years, I always wanted a Pepsi for soda. You can prefer what you want to drink, I dont care, although, I rarely drink soda now. Never liked Dr. Pepper.

    Caloric monster

The Ultra=Ray broiler was the best I have seen. Friends had a gas similar model in coppertone but unfortunate;y was destroyed in a house fire, not caused by the stove.

    Interesting 1980 Maytag dryer

I have an LDE410 of the same vintage and have never had a single repair in 40 years. The matching 511 washer has only had one $28 part in all those years. They both look and run just like they did new out of the box.

GE getting back into commercial laundry

True Ken, everyone jumped on that bandwagon years ago when every laundry product was labeled "Heavy Duty". Honestly, they were more a heavy duty product to the crap sold now.

Soliciting comments about using a monitor top refrig. as a daily driver

I had a similar later GE in a camp I bought. It worked fine but capacity was much less than needed. Freezer barely held an ice cube tray. Bought a Coldspot spacemaster and space was solved. I vote NO as my regular fridge.
