    Melted plastic on oven rack

Good ideas from all! I think it's HDPE so not sure about solvents but getting it warm and scraping might do it. Eddie I don't think I can lock the controls but I can turn off the gas! It's like the stories of Ambien users cooking and even driving while "asleep". He usually gives me the car keys...

    Melted plastic on oven rack

We'll, long story short...last night tony was in his Xanax stupor and decided he wanted some cookies. He sliced the Pillsbury dough on my plastic cutting board and decided to put it in the oven. He then passed out on the couch and was awakened by the smoke alarm to a house filled with smoke. The...

Brady Bunch house sells for MUCH less than asking

The Brady house had a basement too according to one episode where all the kids were having to wash the window screens and store them in the basement. Peter was exempt I believe because of a lie or something...barely remember it.

What Temperature Is Your AC Thermostat Set To?

AC is set to 76 all summer.  Winter the gas heat is set on 72.  Knock on wood my almost 23 year old Goodman made Amana package unit is still trucking along with it's Copeland scroll compressor.

    Vintage Stackable units/

The only one I can speak of knowledgeably  is my mother's Maytag stacked setup from 1994.  LSG7804AAL with a gas dryer on top.  It's still going strong at 29 years old.

How Much REFRIGERATOR Does a Home Need

I have always wanted an all fridge and all freezer sitting side by side but I don't have the kitchen space for them. I have considered getting two top freezer models and just sit them side by side but I love my ice and water in the door.

After driving the same car for 16 years, I bought a new one!

Congrats on the new ride!  We actually traded back in October.  As much as I loved our Volvo S80 that got almost 40mpg, I am getting to the point where I need something a little higher off the ground.  I love my commuter car, 2001 VW New Beetle TDI, but I feel like a sardine crawling out of a...

The largest dryer whirlpool ever produced for home use

That's neat!  Is that a Kitchenaid dryer beside it?  I remember seeing those on KA's website when they were being sold.  But they weren't WP built were they?  I've been looking for a while for one of those around here but never ever see them...not even in snobby Brentwood up the road!

    Epsom Salt in the wash?

Softer clothes with epsom salt? My grandmother used to dissolve epsom salt in water and put her curtains in it. She then would hang them up on the line the way she wanted them to hang. When they dried, they were stiffer than starch...but they never drooped down!

    Singer "Featherweight" Sewing Machines

My mother used to have her grandmother's singer treadle machine but she let a junk dealer have it back in the 80's. I told her I'd give anything to have it now because i do a majority of my sewing on a treadle. Currently have a Pfaff 130 in my treadle stand. The electric motor works fine but i...
