I can set it for a time dry, and it turns on and heats up - does everything a dryer is supposed to do - but the timer doesn't advance, so I have to use a kitchen timer.

That’s kind of what I was thinking. I just wanted to make it wasn’t something like a fuse.

Howdy, I have an older Maytag Dryer (Model DE 406). It heats up and works well, but the timer has stopped functioning. Are the timers still available? Is there anything I can try to get it to work again? Thanks!

Update: I had an appliance guy out, and it’s NOT the clock. There’s no power to the clock area. So I think a new drop-in is in our future. I’m thinking Avocado..... Luckily, I have my trusty Nesco Roaster, so we will not be bereft of Turkey on that most Turkiest if days.

Ok, I figured out how to get at the clock. There’s two red wires on the top (stop/manual) control, and two black wires and a yellow wire on the bottom (start) control. When I push in the stop knob, which is what the directions indicate, it doesn’t stay pressed in. Any thoughts on how to...
