It's a good weekend for a new (to us) Frigidaire Range!

Yes, the company uses a fixed price. It's $95 plus $15 shipping, which I think is more than reasonable. If they have a rebuilt clock in stock, they send it to you and you return your broken one. If they don't have one in stock, as is the case in our situation, you send it in - they repair it...

It's a good weekend for a new (to us) Frigidaire Range!

Well, cooked another meal on it last night (see photo), so far so good! I made spaghetti with meat sauce, used three burners and the small oven for the garlic bread. Everything turned out perfect! I think I'm really going to like the infinite control on the burners. The clock doesn't work...

This Weekend at the Estate Sales!

Great finds Hans, as always! That Hoover is fabulous! I have one with the copper lid NIB. I have another one like the one you found, with the broiler lid and kickstand and warming drawer that I use every few months, and we just throw it in the Dishwasher to clean it - they're fully immersable...

It's a good weekend for a new (to us) Frigidaire Range!

Hi Mark - Thanks for your comments! Yeah, Robert and I can't stop staring at it, it is in just tip-top condition. We are thrilled beyond words. Not sure if the speed-heat works, we need to have a "boil-off" between that surface unit, and the right rear surface unit. The Heat Minder was...

It's a good weekend for a new (to us) Frigidaire Range!

Pull 'n Clean fun!! I wanted to snap a picture of the ovens, while I was at it, I pulled the oven! It's super cool. Both ovens are pretty clean.. Will still give it a once over. The door seal on the large oven needs a scrubbing, too. I'll have to go back and check the connectors for the bake...

1957 TOL 40" Frigidaire Range - white - CL Milwaukee

I really used to not care for this control panel, but it has definitely grown on me.

1957 TOL 40" Frigidaire Range - white - CL Milwaukee

Located in New Berlin, WI - slightly West of Milwaukee. Looks to be in nice shape, $175. I see some rotisserie parts in one of the pictures. Thank goodness it's nowhere near Minneapolis - one range per weekend is enough. ;-) http://milwaukee.craigslist.org/app/5048323064.html

It's a good weekend for a new (to us) Frigidaire Range!

Mystery bulb! Yes, we noticed that when we were replacing the bulbs - there is one extra bulb for each "bake" light, and there's no way to see that second bulb through the control panel. The extra bulb is also wired in a series, so if the bulb that isn't visible goes out, none of them work -...

It's a good weekend for a new (to us) Frigidaire Range!

The broil and bake don't come on together for the prehea Thanks Phil! I was reading the 1958 manual that we have, and assumed that it carried over into the 1959 model. Good to know that it isn't equipped - one less thing wrong with it! I was searching the archives a bit and found a thread...

It's a good weekend for a new (to us) Frigidaire Range!

Moved into position, after most of the day spent scrubbing, wiping, scraping, wiping again. This range is in really amazing condition. It absolutly shines like new! It was well-used, and pretty dusty/dirty... but it showed that it was maintained through the years. Everything seems to...

It's a good weekend for a new (to us) Frigidaire Range!

First thing's first! HAD to get the flourescent light replaced and working! While we had the panel tipped forward, we cleaned everything.. Some shots of the dials without their dress on.. Smile for the camera, Robert!

It's a good weekend for a new (to us) Frigidaire Range!

Woke up early today and headed back to the estate sale house; here she is in her original habitat; then on the truck where we were ready to take delivery. :-) Presenting our new 1959 RCI-75-59 - Frigidaire Custom Imperial range. In PINK!

It's a good weekend for a new (to us) Frigidaire Range!

We perused the pictures of the sales online, and something pinked (piqued?) our interest. We went to the sale, stood in line, marveled at the beauty, and made our purchase yesterday. Out with the old... (She'll live in the garage for now)

It's a good weekend for a new (to us) Frigidaire Range!

Robert and I hadn't been to any estate sales in quite a few weeks, perhaps even months. We've just been so busy, it had just been back-burnered (pun intended!). We've had our pink 1956 GE Liberator range in place since October 2013, and we absolutely love it. The Sensi-Temp works, and the...

The Unfortunate History of the AMC Pacer

That was a very cool video -- well worth the time to watch! Such neat little cars, too bad they were doomed from the start. Much like the Lustron houses. Nifty piece of history, though. Thanks for sharing!

    1954 Frigidaire RT 70 ; Lexington CL.

That's a lovely range! I would urge you to go for it, they don't come around every day, that's for sure. Of course, based on what the seller says. I don't see what looks to be any rust isuses in those photos; I bet it's probably kitchen grease more than anything. When Robert and I brought...
