    Goodman AC getting a workout

@laundress, The Hunter Century link I posted, outperforms those by a long shot, and they are much, much quieter. Just saying. As for commercial, depending on the system, they will run BOTH the heater and a/c at the same time to help with moderating the temp and moisture control.

    Goodman AC getting a workout

@laundress If you are seriously using a huge commercial fan, you might be better off space wise and noise wise with one of these http://www.ebay.com/itm/VINTAGE-PENNCREST-BOX-FAN-THERMO-CONTROL-METAL-SQUARE-DELUXE-3-SPEED-/301748737398?hash=item4641a05576:g:ubcAAOSwiLdV9eO9 (Do NOT get a new...

Ice cream makers (household) with own refrigerant system

Oh HELL no! $485???? The $541 is even better. For an ice cream maker that makes less than a quart per batch? http://www.ebay.com/itm/like/252444072455?lpid=82&chn=ps&ul_noapp=true I think I'll stick with my 1970's Sterling/Richmond Cedar Works 6 quart freezer...

Counter top roaster vs. oven - pros, cons, benefits, etc?

@rp Should be fine. Mine came with the lift out rack and the second shelf. The point of the trivet is to get the bundt pan off the floor of the oven

Counter top roaster vs. oven - pros, cons, benefits, etc?

Guys, These DO NOT heat the house, not anywhere near what the regular oven does. As I mentioned before, they can most of what a regular oven does. This works especially well in an inadequately air conditioned trailer. There's not much to them either, they consist of a nichrome wire and house...

Anyone know anything about this? GE limits Hot Water

Parent's house is a 60 year old ranch, we replaced a 50 gallon standing water heater with a gas tankless roughly ten years ago. Not a problem since. However, I've heard that electric ones are more problematic. Regulating the temperature on standing water heaters is a bad thing. If the...

Counter top roaster vs. oven - pros, cons, benefits, etc?

Thanksgiving turkey in these is beyond amazing. They do real well for most things you can bake in the regular oven. I've done cakes in them. The only exception is stuff like shake and bake pork chops, that has a crust. They don't seem to come out as well. The HUGE advantage to these that they...

Homemade Fan- I have to admit

It looks pretty dang good and you have admire his ingenuity. But I think I'll stick with my 1920's six bladed Diehl ;-)

Wifi fails= No Hot Water, plus as someone else mentioned, with storage type water heaters, there's a recovery time involved. Also-there's WAYY too much, pardon my french, shit, that's wireless now, and just another weak/hackable point in the Internet of Things. Electric hot water heater when...

Wow. Roma is really common here in Texas. Just about all the major grocery stores carry it, along with a few other Mexican brands.

Anyone know anything about this? GE limits Hot Water

won't let me edit up a true agitator is the reason why these older machines clean so well. There's videos on youtube for Speed Queen that shows the displacement and the movement of clothes in the washer. The usual test is a colored washcloth in a load of whites. With the SQ, the washcloth is...

Anyone know anything about this? GE limits Hot Water

@yogitunes, The 2015 Speed Queen we bought or the 1990's Maytag that I put a water pump in and now it works fine. No question about it. HE top load machines are crap. My sister bought an LG top loader in 2010, there's animal hair involved with these loads of clothes and sometimes it does...

    Sunbeam Mixmaster model 10

as for WACEM, can't help with that one, but there's knowledgeable people here if it's an appliance problem. As for the Mixmaster, it just depends on when the beaters were made, there's no real difference between them.
