@cfz It's all steel, no bronze. While the motor cannot be properly restored, and the fan guy basically said that if it was left alone and not messed with, it should be okay, I do plan on the very least, repainting the blades and cage. The headwire has already been replaced.

No, it's most definitely a pot metal material. The guy I talked said that the "cure" didn't hold on these and this was common. You can actually chip away on it with your fingernail. He said that I could epoxy it, but I'm still concerned about the structural integrity of the entire assembly.

The guy never got back with me on the shaft size of the motor for that Ebay fan. Talked to friend who works on these to see what my other options are. This fan runs like a champ, the spin down is almost 30 to 40 seconds.

I've started a convo with him. He says that the unit is completely dead. Which is good or bad depending on how you look at it. The thing is though, I don't this is a real common unit and the tv build looks higher than average for that time frame.

I'm kinda "meh" on these. I got a Hoover stainless steel one with the broiler about 8 years ago. I found that things stuck to it and it was a pain to clean. The broiler works okay, no comparison to an oven. However, as the saying goes, YMMV or Your Mileage May Vary, so for $20, I'd say go for it.
