Ditto :) the Tag does have charm. My cousin had that Hotpoint washer her sis inlaw sold to her. It seen 6 years of heavt use from a family of 5 then another 8 very hard use from her with extended family of 8. It sure took a beating. It was still working like new when the bottom rotted.

I use Gain almost all the time 1/2 the regular amount plus I add my own baking soda when needed , i.e. sweat clothes, work clothes, and bedding. I use it in my Kenmore FL and I get great results, enough suds(little) and great rinsing. Like Gyrafoam said things like Fabreze,baking sda., bleach...

I agree w/the guys.... Is ok when for most things when used with Cold Water tide or a good powder detergent, I can see what your mom means. A friend of mine heats her water with propane(and cooks but she only uses the stove as a cigarette lighter lol) and she has 2 kis. Its only the 3 of them...

Wow Nice set. My cousins had the washer, minus the detergent dispenser. It sure was a workhorse! There were 13 people in that huse. The washer did at least 4 loads a day for almost 13 years without interuption. Good luck with the set! Kenny
