Hi all, this portable Whirlpool washer popped up on Facebook Marketplace near me for $100. The lady selling it is going to send me more pics of it tomorrow. What can you guys tell me about this machine? Rough age, belt drive or direct drive, pros/cons, etc.

My mother has a black Sharp Carousel microwave that was purchased brand new in 1998 that's still running like brand new. I have a Frigidaire microwave that I bought last year and while it's not nearly as good quality as the Sharp, it works well enough.

I was lucky enough to find a NIB Montgomery Wards (Proctor-Silex) toaster oven last year and absolutely love it. But for current market appliances, I'll throw in another vote for Breville or Cuisinart.

I have a simple top freezer stainless steel Frigidaire with no ice maker, no dispensers, no bells or whistles. It was a bargain purchase at a closing Sears store last year and I have nothing but good things to say about it. It looks nice, it keeps everything ice cold, and it's damn near silent.

Definitely an early 90s washer. I have a similar but higher end model to that. It has the short stroke orbital transmission, but still a true Maytag. Excellent performer.
