Newer Speed Queen TW01 with issues

Alliance IS SpeedQueen. Same company. My experience is that I was lied to by Alliance.

Speed queen FL mold & mildew smell

It's your money but beware....... Our SQ FL always had a funky smell, our laundry room gets closed off at night so in the morning it was obvious. We always washed hot, and always left the door open and dried the door and drum after laundry. Then when it was seven years old the control board...

LG WM3600 water level can still easily be raised

I just put a "heavy duty" load in, and a pool of water is visible in the bottom of the drum, it was not before the mod. The water level is still well below the glass. I think I like one turn of the screw.

LG WM3600 water level can still easily be raised

The Youtube vids showing how to raise the water level on LG washers, all show prior models so I just wanted to assure owners of the 2022 models that nothing has changed. The attached pictures were taken with an empty drum on speedwash both before and after adding one clockwise turn on the...

LG WM3600 cycle times are SLLOOOOWWWWWW.

Tried it again: the 3600 does not respond to delay+temp or delay+spin. No doubt a firmware "upgrade"

LG WM3600 cycle times are SLLOOOOWWWWWW.

Does the water adjustment trick work on the latest generation of LG washers then? Or have they taken care of that like all big corporations tend to do? If so, I will be doing this one day after my 1 yr warranty expires.

LG WM3600 cycle times are SLLOOOOWWWWWW.

I tried the app in desperation! I tried quick touches, and long holds, nothing worked last time. Maybe the 3600 lacks this functionality?

appnut: yes, that's what I was trying. The machine did not respond. I also checked the phone app in case that functionality had moved, but no.

LG WM3600 cycle times are SLLOOOOWWWWWW.

appnut - thanks again for the confirmation on soil/temp John: I think I mentioned in the thread that I tried the delay+temp "trick" but the panel just seems locked to input and ignored me. Is there a step I might be missing, like pausing the cycle first or something? Another interesting data...

LG WM3600 cycle times are SLLOOOOWWWWWW.

I just tried the steam option on four sofa pillows (damn dogs!). It defaults the temp to off which I guess makes sense, but also the soil level is defaulted off. Is this correct? Also, I set up the wifi connectivity, hoping that might allow me to see spin speed and water temp as appnut...

LG WM3600 cycle times are SLLOOOOWWWWWW.

appnut, Yes, until experimenting today, I've used extra high spin exclusively, I didn't know it mean extra long duration as well? What are the various spin speeds?

LG WM3600 cycle times are SLLOOOOWWWWWW.

Cycles definitely tend to shorten as they go. I think the 2 hr cycle ended up more like 1hr-40, still painfully long. I don't get why it spends so long on the final spin, I haven't clocked it, but it seemed like at least 15 minutes spinning! The delay+ spin and delay+temp don't work on my...

LG WM3600 cycle times are SLLOOOOWWWWWW.

appnut, Thanks for the temp and spin display info, I shall try that. I just put in a load - heavy duty - hot wash (not extra), normal soil, extra fast spin and it still says 2Hours! So it's not extra hot which determines the extra time.

LG WM3600 cycle times are SLLOOOOWWWWWW.

As you both say - no turbowash on this model. When my SpeedQueen FL died, I hastily looked for a replacement washer. I found a review online which stated that this model DID have turbowash, so I was disappointed to see otherwise once it arrived. For a measly extra $100 it would have been...

LG WM3600 cycle times are SLLOOOOWWWWWW.

Just replaced my dead 7 year old Speed Queen front loader with a middle of the road LG, the WM3600. So far it seems decent, it's quiet, has a very fast spin, but boy, is it SLOW? Using the "Normal" cycle, a mid sized load takes 2 hours! This is only using extra hot, and extra fast spin...

    No more defending SpeedQueen.

panasonicvac: See the first link I posted https://www.automaticwasher.org/cgi-bin/TD/TD-VIEWTHREAD.cgi?89050 This person had their machine for about 5-1/2 years, exact same failure mode, same board, machine is within a couple hundred SN of mine. So her machine was out of warranty, but SQ...

    No more defending SpeedQueen.

We bought an LG WM3600, middle of the road, $800+tax "on sale", so 1/3 the price of a new SQ FL and most important, immediate delivery. The biggest insult to me is to be told that all the failures were in the first year, don't they think customers will actually use that thing called the...

    No more defending SpeedQueen.

I’ve always been a defender of SpeedQueen, but…… Speed Queen purchased a batch of defective inverter control boards in the 2015-2016 era for their $2000 front loaders. My machine is one of the affected machines and after 7 years it died. Given that this is an acknowledged manufacturing defect...

Speed Queen Front Load With Heater?

As one of those people who is "totally clueless about the importance of a water heater", I sure do get tired of people droning on about them as if it is impossible to get clean clothes without one. Our F&P top loader didn't have one, our SQ top loader did not have one and our SQ front loader...

speed queen front load door seal?

Big Pete: No other leaks since that one time. Very strange, I did go around the glass with CLR and a plastic scraper to ensure there was no calcium buildup causing a problem. There was a calcium buildup on the gasket which I eliminated with CLR and a careful fingernail. So far so good!
