    Kenmore 44052 Won't spin

I've said before This is just not acceptable. Maybe they are simpler, but when have you heard of a "digital" microwave "control board" go out? Unless you have a significant lightning hit, when is the last time you had a TV or stereo die? Cars now have electronics and they endure a lot of...

    Teenager Cracks I-Phone Code

Yeah, $9.95 when one can just go to the authors for free? Sort of like Bill Gates taking advantage of the original developer of the PC OS (and then turning it into Windows.) http://iphonejtag.blogspot.com/

I'd volunteer, but... A bit too far to go. ;) Do you still have your compressed air/vac attachment you could take a picture of?

    "You Dirty Rat......."

I've been using that same plastic trap for mice. But the last time it must have caught the mouse oddly. It was dragged through a tangle of stuff across the kitchen (when I finally found it) and pulled up into the opening beneath the front of the cabinets and the mouse had gotten out. The plastic...

Sheet metal repair with automotive panel bonding adhesives

Okay - I see - studs are "bolts" not wooden studs and the whole purpose is to create sturdy bolts/studs/anchors to attach the sole plate to. Using the epoxy/drilling sounds like it would create a more accurate placement (if it makes a difference), but a lot more work. Though I would think a bolt...

    "You Dirty Rat......."

sudsmaster That sounds familiar. I won't describe the method of dispatch from the person, but I knew someone who somewhat did the same thing. And then eventually became a doctor after working with computers for a number of years after the mouse/research thing.

Sheet metal repair with automotive panel bonding adhesives

"Even so, something very similar (I use Simpson Strong-Tie epoxy) approved, if not preferred, for fixing foundation bolts. If done right, these are less prone to failure than wedge type anchors, which tend to spall the concrete, causing stud failure." Can I get a little more explanation of...

Sheet metal repair with automotive panel bonding adhesives

Which reminds me There was a thread a few months back, I don't remember in which forum, where Robert had a "nightmare" repair of rust in a tub (or outside a tub where supports attached.) He was going to describe how he did it, but I don't remember that he ever did. Did I miss it...

Well, maybe There are small-minded people in this country who are of the "atta boy" and "bitch" persuasion. More than there should be. But there are others who are not. Martha Stewart, belonged in jail. Lots of corporate men should be there too. Libby is a totally different story. Bush did...

    Leona Helmsley Dead at 85

Sorry, I don't give anyone, man or woman, an "atta boy" for acting like a jerk. Just as she might not have wanted to share the world with "the little people", I'm not interested in sharing it (or at least my space) with people who can't generally show respect for others. (Yes, it's possible we...

    My Annual Hurrican Preparedness Rant

Yeah, I can't think of it now (because I turn it off as soon as possible), but there is some f**king fat (diet loss) commercial that constantly runs here on Ch. 45 that is the ultimate in disgust. It lasts "forever" (in TV terms) with disgusting people that make me want to barf or commit...

Anyone have experience with cabinet resurfacing

What sudsmaster says is right. If you have good, solid cabinets to start with vs. the new (unless you pay-through-the-nose-trash) you are probably better off going with the resurfacing - though I'm not overly enthused with a veneer over the old. But then the powers-that-be believe perception...
