Wondering if anyone would have or know where.....

I could find a couple of top panels for my Westy Spacemates washer and dryer? In the photo attached to this thread you can see a counter top sitting on top of the machines - they were originally an under counter installation so there is no top except the counter top as you see in the photo. In search of the World's Best Dill Pickles...

Agree.... Refrigerator canning on dill pickles is a good way too - I've been around both versons with grandmother in past years. I like them cold and crispy. I had forgotten about the frige canning of pickles..... good call!

    Luck! Potluck, that is.

Lawrence....... Glad all went well - folks will usually try a bit of everything or at least several and the ones they like take the big hits - congratulations..... always good to come back home with empty bowls. Glad the reading went well - maybe you should post it for us if you feel...

    Kenmore (and Whirpool) abuse extraordinaire

Have to be a little careful with comments on this one..... Gordon, my FT job for 20 years has been with local city law enforcment here in town - I'm not an officer but work in the part of the department where they call in for DL status checks, stolen checks for cars, articles, want/warrant...

Got home this evening with Vintage set #2!

I had mentioned the noise when it goes to extract....... I think it's the springs and shocks - they do have some rust on them and they screech and squeel abit and the back panel over the pulleys needs to be tightened so it doesn't vibrate. Additionally, when I get it to its permenant place and...

Hellman's is my favorite...... like Duke's too. Definately prefer the mayo over salad dressing or Miracle Whip which still tastes too much like salad dressing to me. Love the cole slaw recipe - usually use mayo and a tad bit of apple cider vinegar - not a lot but a little.... gives it a nice...

In search of the World's Best Dill Pickles...

Got to head to Earth Fare and try those pickles and probably a few other things too! A little off the pickle topic a moment but was thinking about things natural made or made with natural insted of artifical - probably not greatest thing to drink in excess but the cane sugar sweetend CocaCola...

In search of the World's Best Dill Pickles...

My grandmother (dad's side) always had large gardens and we would help her tend them - lived right up the hill from her house so we always had fresh veggies as quick as they started coming in til the frost ended the season in late Oct. We had multiple hills of cucumbers and always planted a...

In search of the World's Best Dill Pickles...

Have you tried......... Clausen pickles..... usually in the produce area and are always in refrigerated section. I like those better than any others in the regular condiment isle. Another neat thing if you're into gardening is to plant a few hills of cucumbers and some dill and make them fresh...

    Luck! Potluck, that is.

Yes indeed........ Do like liturgy by Saint John Chrysostom - we've let so much go in the church over the years - especially recently. At any rate, I do believe there is absolute truth, not as in what denominations of various stripes put out - no one denomination has all of truth but I do...

Ment to add - for those who will ask........ I'm not playing this year - the last church I was at as organist I left a year ago. They wanted to go towards all contemporary P/W music and while you can get away with some things on the organ, most of the contempo stuff just does not work well with...

Sounds like a wonderful chicken salad.......... Very similar to what my wife makes. Very seldom have food left to bring home from church dinners/suppers..... she's one good cook. Our church has a lunch after morning service every 4th Sunday of the month and the last one, this past Sunday, she...

Got home this evening with Vintage set #2!

That's one thing I noticed as soon as the first water went into the machine - when it came time to pump it out it sounded like it was being blasted down the stand pipe. It is definately a much, much more powerful pump than on my 08 GE frontloader and even more than the early 60s Kenmore 600...

Got home this evening with Vintage set #2!

BTW..... A little LOL! to Bob (Appnut) in Texas..... from time to time when you see a good machine in operation the comment is almost always "I need a cigarette" - Well Bob, when I get the vid made of this machine doing its thing with the nice full water level and suds half way up the view...

Got home this evening with Vintage set #2!

The westy I have..... is the older drive system - has the three belts, potato pulley and makes the "clunk" sound into the full extract speed. Also, the drum turns only one direction - clockwise - it's not the reversing tumble like the FLs built these days or like the newer westys. It is a fun...

Got home this evening with Vintage set #2!

The potato pulley...... The westy I have has the potato pulley on it and it does not have as many of the features as the mid 90s version above. Just three dials - the main control dial, water temp selector and the water level selector along with the weigh to save indicator behind the door. It...
