Let me see,the ones i have seen the most were: GE/Hotpoint much more Kenmores than whirlpool's Maytag Norge or Norge made washers Of all these it is about a tie between GE and Kenmore

Speed Queen Debuts Their Residential Laundry Line!

Thanks Launderess, I would consider it. I like the fact that even the TOL TL is not fancy and overdone.Three dials and an extra rinse switch. Smart looking FL's too. Let's all hope SQ has a winner here with this new residential line.

Speed Queen Debuts Their Residential Laundry Line!

I hope the toploaders agitator isn't a corckscrew.I hope they are using either a straight vane or a surgilator knockoff.

    Austin,how about a REAL Norge...

This is the same design Norge we had in our family,...only difference was,the machine we had also had a wash/spin speed selector.

    Siemens at Best Buy

Nice ranges I totally agree Peter,...those ranges are very nice. When i first saw the Bosch/Siemens ranges, the design of the backguard made me think it had a light,.....wish manufacturers would put those things back in.Not all of us have a microwave over our range with a light.

Kenmore aka Frigmore washer and dryer

I have heard that porcelain tubs chip easily, but in my experience with porcelain tub machines,i have never had a chipped tub in any of my washers over the years.Very durable material in IMHO.I guess i have been fortunate.

Rich (Go Little Sport) Frigidaire Washer Story continued!

That's the thing though, most people just do not care about laundry appliances. They are things to be tucked away in a closet or basement,.....after all dirty laundry is taboo.(sigh)

    Three rack dishwasher

Another thing about the racking in this machine.....it looks very modern looking. If i didn't know this was from the seventies, i would think it was the latest dishwasher out.

You can be SURE...If It's Westinghouse.......TOL early 70's machine for sale on eeebaye!!!

Had a model of about same vintage as this machine. The only thing i didn't like was that indexing tub. With a full load, all the clothes did was spin around in circles.Otherwise the agitator would have been much more effective at circulating the load.

    A story

Hurt by a washer I had a bad accident with my mom's Kenmore when i was about 2 yrs. old. I remember getting up on a stool to watch the machine agitate.I remember looking down into the washer when the stool fell out from under me. I banged my chin off the side of the machine and bit my tongue...

Seems the spiral ramp agitator is still in use...
