KDR-67 KitchenAid Regency being parted out.

Sometimes the motors for one series will cross over into another series machine. For instance, most KD-20 machines will have an 18 series motor in them. They kept using the same motor until an actual need to change the series happened, I think.

KitchenAid Imperial Selectra 21 in Indianapolis - $25

Soft water I believe most people don't condition their water because they don't know what they are missing. Until one has lived with softened water they won't understand the benefits. They far outweigh the drawbacks, IMO. Everything is much better with softened water. Appliances are much...

    Full Disclosure

Don, I'm happy you got your 906 set. I am sorry about the time I scooped up the set from Cedar Rapids that had been promised to you. I had no idea at the time. I just knew Drew had been looking for that set for a very long time and thought I'd do something nice. Anyway, congratulations and...

"Industrial Archaeology®" or How to tame wild Speed Queens

Vida, It's funny you should mention Varisol. Several years ago I restored my Grandmothers Singer 401 Slant-O-Matic sewing machine and the service manual recommended using Varisol to clean the machine with before beginning a complete tune-up. I started looking for Varisol and soon realized I was...

Thanks Launderess,   No, this one doesn't tilt down. The lid tilts back and the "wings" all flip out but the machine itself stays level.   B.

    Ironrite from Kansas City

For replacement oil I used Valvoline Premium conventional SAE 30 Motor Oil. No detergents. Just a little bit lighter than what came in the Ironrite can. The Ironrite can on the web site had 4 oz. printed on it. I put in between 6 and 8. No problem at all. No leaking. No running out. The Ironrite...

    Ironrite from Kansas City

Summer of 2014 I expressed an interest in acquiring a mangle ironer (see link). That was on 6/18/14. To my surprise on 6/20 I got a personal message through AW message center. The little grey message box had turned to pink and there was "1 msg" It was John (oldskool) McWhorter from Kansas...

    Maytag Dryer need help

Delaney, There should be a spring underneath the dial. Do you have any electrical testing equipment? A multi-meter would help. Trace the power from the plug through the machine. There should be a schematic on the back of the control panel cover. There might not be anything wrong with that...

    Kitchenaid - CL Finds

That Coppertone KDS-58 in Saginaw is really nice. It looks very low mileage. Nice color too. Would love to have a 58.

    6. Date on toilet is 1961. Same year house was built. Figured it would be a good match.
