John That's what I was thinking too. So I gave it a dip in the works and that ate up all of that but what is left is detergent that had soaked in the metal if you put it in water it will suds up the water.

As you can see I can't get that sope out oh the filter/drain hosing. It is deep down in the metal.

No that is an epoxy pant that is used for cars as a primer for dark colors. I figured it would hold up.

The tub got a good protective covering as well. I will probably be putting some parts back together tonight.

Lol I'm trying my best on the duomatic. If it only didn't have all that water sitting in it for so long. But I can't wait to run the first load in it like your Westinghouse!
