Waking up a few Antique Fridges...

Very, well, cool! They each have a distinctive sound, just like cars did. I remember the GE monitor top so well, when I heard yours start, I immediately remembered the old spare fridge in my parents' basement, a monitor top that they used around holidays and parties. That's a nice early...

More Frigidaire in Poppy Red... a 'Refreshement Center' fridge!

Great plan, Jerry The product planner in you! Of course maybe this is what the product planners at Westinghouse and Frigidaire planned all along!

Looking for GE Coppertone Refrigerator & Dishwasher!

"SR" Sears Roebuck emblem How late did Sears use the 'atomic' looking "SR" emblem? I am thinking this must be about toward the end. Since it is coppertone, is it a mid-60s?

More Frigidaire in Poppy Red... a 'Refreshement Center' fridge!

I have seen the Westinghouses, but didn't realize that they also blended from concentrate. But having to open the door isn't nearly so handy as this Frigidaire. You are quite right about the year, see the attached 1955 advertisement. I remember when growing up that we "made" orange juice...

More Frigidaire in Poppy Red... a 'Refreshement Center' fridge!

I didn't realize that the juice containers on these actually mixed concentrate at a customer-selected 'richness control'. This looks to be in great cosmetic shape, but like so many, it runs but does not get cold...

    Six-burner Roper gas range

It appears to be complete and good shape, but you can't tell a whole lot from the single photo. https://washingtondc.craigslist.org/nva/app/6816379055.html https://washingtondc.craigslist.org/nva/app/6816379055.html

    30" Hotpoint

Great range, and appears to have all the trim pieces I wonder how much of this will clean off, but how much may be deterioration or otherwise may not...

    Take a look at these...

    1956 (ish?) Philco fridge

Amana Stor Mor I forgot about that one... I moved one of those, too, and although it was not a porcelain cabinet, it was a huge and heavy machine that of course had to come up a steep flight of enclosed basement stairs... It was a good thing that there were a couple of guys to help on that move!

Vintage Hotpoint Refrigerator / San Diego / $700

Brushed chrome panels Brushed chrome panels were also on the non-Customlines. But as for this very pretty fridge... how come when sellers acknowledge that a fridge isn't cooling or otherwise working... they are always sure that it is an 'easy fix'? Maybe. Maybe not!

    1956 (ish?) Philco fridge

the heaviest? The heaviest that I have moved were mid-50s Frigidaire TOL with full porcelain cabinets... after moving those, new stuff could almost be forgiven for how cheap (and lightweight) the materials and trim are!

    1956 (ish?) Philco fridge

Missing a couple of shelving pieces, but appears to have most that are often missing! https://reading.craigslist.org/app/6805837701.html https://reading.craigslist.org/app/6805837701.html

    Double monitor top

A two door monitor top, too bad only one exterior photo... but a very neat fridge. https://washingtondc.craigslist.org/mld/atq/6805898334.html https://washingtondc.craigslist.org/mld/atq/6805898334.html

1953(?) Westinghouse Commander Range (Co Co County)

Floating dash! That is the beautiful model with the floating dash... the light behind shows from behind above and below the control panel! Hans, there was one of these for sale recently in Richmond... I can check if you are seriously interested....

    Cadet Blue!

A nice Cadet Blue GE 40" range... and reasonably priced! This is one you don't see often! https://philadelphia.craigslist.org/atq/6751158564.html https://philadelphia.craigslist.org/atq/6751158564.html

    1957 turquoise range

Another great design! So space age and full of advanced features... like the cars of the day, no feature or design element was out of consideration when developing new ranges!

    Total Westinghouse Showstopper!

Beautiful! Westinghouse had so many great designs... and especially in yellow and in such great condition! And the retractable cord is fun and can be handy... but can also over time be subject to the retractable mechanism sticking, which can leave you with a stray cord on your cook top!
