    Ariel Colour 3in1 Pods

What puzzles me is that I can do a regular wash load and there is very little in the way of suds during the wash part of the cycle and yet when the rinsing starts the suds seem to go off the scale - only when the last rinse starts do the suds really appear to have been eradicated. Is it...

Sheridan He appeared once and only once - well to be precise, all you saw was the back of his head as he disappeared down the road in a taxi, leaving poor Hyacinth bereft on the driveway, seeing her beloved son being driven off in to the sunset - back to university, stopping en route at the...

    Hoovermatic 3174

Not all THAT rare but to find one in this condition certainly is! I hope this is scooped up by a collector. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/HOOVER-HOOVERMATIC-TWIN-TUB-WASHING-MACHINE-MODEL-3174-/252434240306?hash=item3ac640d332:g:E~8AAOSw3YNXapac

That was used for the credits and the purposes of showing the milk bottles, which were probably cleaner than when they left the dairy, plus the gold cutlery. It was never shown in the shows. Much comedy gold was gained from Hyacinth at the sink!! So many of these great, iconic comedy shows were...

    Keeping Up Appearances appliances

I think you have more or less covered them all. There was no sign of a washer or dryer and although I am sure she would have had a dishwasher for the purposes of washing her Royal Doulton with the hand painted periwinkles, it was never shown. Incidentally, I think you will find that those...

    Old UK soap brands.

Wisk Yes, I remember Wisk very well because my mother used it for a while. However, if I remember correctly, it didn't have a lot going for it. It smelt fabulous, rinsed easily and created very little suds - made the water kind of milky. As far as stain removal was concerned it was useless. I...

    Bosch dishwashers circa 1994-1998

Thank you................... .......ALL for the replies and pictures. Foraloysius, that machine is ALMOST exactly the one I am looking for. The dial on the left looks about right but the one on the right is not the same but the one I seek is obviously from the same range, possibly TOL or BOL...

    Bosch dishwashers circa 1994-1998

@servischris This is getting close to the machine I am seeking. The one I want has no buttons rather it has two dials (I think that the second dial performed the same function as these buttons) and the very top of the door slopes inwards as I recall.

    Bosch dishwashers circa 1994-1998

Does anyone have any information/pictures/links/model numbers in regard these machines? I am looking for a particular model I remember from the mid to late 1990's. I don't hold out much hope of finding one but if I knew what I was looking for it would help! I remember what it looked like but...

    powder

Low suds Personally I would go for something low suds. Having used Hoovermatics on and off over many years I find that the high suds powders available now are very difficult to rinse out. Back in the 1970's Persil was brilliant at rinsing. The only ones that compare now I would think are soap...

Can you install an electric dryer upside down?

Simpson When I lived in Australia I rented several apartments that had wall mounted Simpson dryers that were effectively upside down. The control panel could be flipped over. Obviously they were only compact size machines but a very good idea!

    Hoover Twosome

Stoopid question but...................... .....................why did they not design the two units to fit together like a twin tub, washer on the left and spinner on the right in the traditional fashion?

    Vizir

Thanks for all that information guys. Incidentally, don't tend to stockpile loads of different detergents and in the last 12 months have moved away from using a separate whites/coloureds variants as I have read so many comments that there is pretty much no difference. I have just come to the end...

Bought this today from my new local Polish supermarket - I think it is Tide. Anyone have any experiences of it? It was only £2.99 which I thought was a bit of a bargain.

Out with hotpoint s line and back with beko

Rinses Hi there, can I ask, how many rinses does your new Beko do on the standard cycles? I have a Panasonic which I love in almost every respect except that two rinses is standard so if you want three you have to select it. However, if you chose any of the Eco programmes you cannot have three...

New Bosch washer problem ( perhaps ) help appreciated :(

My partner has just bought this machine and I have used it a few times and I think it is brilliant. Compared to his previous machine, an old Hoover Quattro, this one is silent and whilst I am not a fan of washer dryers, I have to say that this one is fantastic. If and when my machine gives up...

Since when have hotpoint started doing hot and cold fill washer

I bought a new machine almost three years ago and considered a Hotpoint that had H&C fill - that was from John Lewis so they have been available for sometime. I think it was a Hotpoint 'Signature' and had a grey door like the one in the pic. I remember my Mum's Bendix in the 1980's was H&C fill...
