Found my model, it's a BW1. Don't know how I missed it before. Was going to order some spare parts but dang, it's $1500 to get one of everything I want and the washer only cost $299 after the rebate LOL. I'll just keep the dryer going forever and swap out washers as they fail.

I can't find either and even the factory Energystar papers etc. only reference the BW. I know I sent in the paperwork to Maytag for warranty but they claim there's no way to search for that in their system unless I've had a warranty call (???)

Only thing I am having trouble with is finding my model number! Apparently the MVWC425BW could be a BW0 or BW1 and I can't find that info anywhere. Would like to stock up on some spare parts but don't want to order wrong. Even Maytag couldn't help when I called them.

You're welcome! I was pleasantly surprised with both orders from them. I usually call or email first bc they always want to check their shelves to be sure they have the stuff but so far their inventory has been pretty on-point.

Just bought one of these. Seems efficient and old-fashioned and should last a long time. I don't like the lint filter up top but that seems to be most of them anymore. It was on closeout at Home Depot and I could pick it up that day which was nice. Any thoughts?

I also have a spare heater already restrung and a tube with some spare insulators etc. And several blower wheels because those seem to break regularly where they are clamped and get noisy.

I have a spare motor, 2 spare timer motors, idler pulley and shaft, rear rollers and shafts, and a lint filter. I am lacking those those plastic pieces you mention and a spare drum and slides although mine are in good condition. Where would I find them?

The DE409 is push to start which is integral to the timer motor. My question is, what switch actually starts it? I have several OEM NOS timer motors but no "start swich" per se as a backup. Is it the whole timer assembly that does the push-in to start from the single crystal knob that...
